Speaking of ds, he finally got a car last night. Believe me, it was not easy!! We tried every kind of financing there is, but his credit score is lower than a snake's belly! I thought we had it nailed by me getting the loan at my credit union, but they could only loan X amount on that model and I don't have the extra to put down. Anyway, I'm getting a signature loan at the CU, loaned ds the downpayment, and HE got a loan, at 24% interrest! OUCH!!! Well, he's finding out that's what you get when you've shot holes in your credit rating. This is better for him, he'll have a chance to rebuild his credit, and he'll pay me the payments on the sig loan. Found him cheaper insurance too, so that helps. Nice to have my van back again!! I almost forgot how to drive!! LOL!
Dd's friend spent the night last night, fought with her BF most of the night, he's got her ulcers acting up again. This guy is such a loser, but she can't see it. Grrrrr!! There's a British Isles festival nearby this weekend, hope to take dd, it sounds like fun! Lots of Celtic music, arts and crafts, etc. We're having a cookout tomorrow for Father's Day, all of Mike's favorite foods. I need to go buy eggs so I can make some deviled eggs, his absolute favorite next to corn on the cob! It will be a rough day, we all will have to stay busy!
More rain here, I'm waiting to see mushrooms pop up in my "yard"! How the heck am I supposed to keep my nice clean carpet clean with all this wet??? Aarrrggghhh!!! Going to the doc on Monday for my ears, they're still all plugged up from the flights. Hope you all have a great weekend, have fun with all your "Dads" out there, and be happy!
Love, Pam

~~~Happy Dance~~~~ for you and ds on his new car!!His credit problems sound way too familiar! Ds here has the same problem and dd isn't so great either.
Having the meal with all of Mike's favs is a terrific way to remember him. We try to do that at holiday meals---special dishes in memory of family members. I can only imagine how tough it will be...know that I'll be praying for you and thinking of you too.
Father's Day is pretty laid back like Mother's Day is so we'll just hang out at home.
Next year will be a biggie since dd and dsil will be first time parents.
Enjoy your long weekend--hope you get to do things you want to do too.
Hugs,
Kathie
