I was not allowed to hold her yet as she still has her bubble CPap (a breathing thing) and so the nurse said would you please place your hand on her so she can bond with her Nana. Now ask if I was some happy!!! You bet I was. Akiva is doing pretty good, they gave her the last of her antibiotics and when I was there they removed that nasty IV. they said that she will be taken off the CPAP in a day or so. She is up to over 3 pounds and she goes up and down all the time, but she is doing so well.
Our youngest dd was sick for all day Saturday and when we were all going to go out for our Fathers day dinner she got so she thought she would throw up, so they took us back to our hotel room and the rest of them all went out for dinner, Brittany and I laid in the hotel room. She didd get sick and then fell asleep for the night, and then she was fine the next morning except for very drowsy as I gave her another gravol pill so she would not get sick in the car again. SHe does not take to travelling very well and gets car sick very easily!
Today is Melissas birthday and I asked her what she wanted for her dinner and she asked if I would make crepes so that is what we are having tonight... not the healthiest of dinners but it is what she wants so I said sure.
Have a good day all!
Hugs, Lor

Have you washed that hand yet? LOL Sounds like Akiva the warrior princess is doing better. Nice to here they let you held your hand on her. Sounds like they think she is doing better also.
Crepes for dinner doesn't sound so bad. Wish your dd a happy birthday from me.

Now I expect her to be as healthy as Devie and
Liana were at that weight, lol.
The only weird thing that happened was when they
each reached 8 pounds, they got sick and back into
the incubator they went, but not for long..just 2 or
3 days, and look at em now.
Keep us posted....see you in chat!!

Want to hear something funny? For years, Mike slept with a CPAP machine! Stopped the snoring! LOL!!
Crepes sound wonderful! Dd and I love 'em, plain, with a little powdered sugar and syrup. Yummm!!
Take care and I'll keep good thoughts for Akiva!!!
Love and hugs, Pam
I am soooo happy for you all!! I join Pam in her Happy Dance!! How fast did your hand go onto Akiva? The speed of light or faster! LOL
Crepes are good and you can put other nutritional stuff inside if you want! I like the idea of the desserty ones for supper too! We do that too--whatever the birthday child wants within reason for supper. Good tradition!
You all are in my prayers,
Hugs,
Kathie
Let see what I can make for my next goal for her.. hmmm how about out of the incubator or maybe into Intermediate care again yea either will do it for me!
Hugs, Lor
Sure hated to wash that hand... wanted to preserve that smell for a long time.
DD had a great birthday and the crepes were good!
Have a great day! Hugs, Lor
August if all goes well. I did see where one baby stayed in the hospital for
311 days, now that would be tough on everyone.
I guess we are fairly lucky if we compare to some.

and stronger,I just know it in my heart! Babies are really amazing I can not
believe adults can be as resilient as the babies can be.
