MIL passed away last nite & I am so relieved for her sake that it didn't drag out any longer. The last couple days weren't good for her tho better when she finally took a pain pill & Hospice had just started her on the Morphine patch yesterday afternoon to regulate the pain control. Luckily it didn't get as bad as it could from the cancer I think w/her body shutting down she felt like she was falling apart. All things considered she looked peaceful. DH couldn't quite figure out what he was feeling - but we've had a couple years to prepare & this part really went pretty quickly considering she was still at home on her own 8 weeks ago.

The next few weeks will be a bit busy taking care of business & getting her house on the market. But I'm going to try doing it in day trips & give myself time to come home & unwind at the same time.

Thanks again for all your thoughts & prayers & hugs.

Jo, my prayers and condolences go out to you and your family. It must be a very bittersweet time for you all knowing mil is no longer in pain yet mourning her loss. Please believe me when I say this they do not leave us they just move on to a better place. Even though they are not here physically they are aware of what we do and become our guardian angels. What has always helped me get through these times is celebrating their lives, remembering funny things they did/said and it really helps.

Please know all my prayers are with you and yours. Hugs, Bernie

Condolences and I'm grateful that she wasn't in pain long. My mil wore those patches and I think they made it possible for her to spend her last days in her own home like she wanted. Sorry I didn't get to catch up with you when you met us in Vegas. Hugs, BB

Jo,

So sorry to hear of you mil's passing. It seems like no matter how long we've dealt with the illness, it still is a surprise when the end comes.

Good luck on the business side of things....hope it all goes smoothly.

You're in my prayers and thoughts,

Kathie
