Limos for the graduation party.....

The grads were so surprised to have big stretch limos, rented from a large Seattle company driving up to their school. Each one had the same music playing, "Fly like an Eagle", since their school mascot is the Eagle. The grad committee out-did themselves. Each grad (120 went to the party) paid $50 and the rest of the money was raised thru fundraisers we had like a carwash, Luau night and auction. Anyway, the limos took the grads on a scavenger hunt to different stores like Best Buy, where they all got gifts (CDs, gift certificates, etc). Then they went to the Golf Course for a nice dinner and ended the evening at the Elk's Club where there was a DJ all night playing music, pool tables, fooseball, and other games to play. There were also many door prizes (at the dinner), but Ds didn't get one of those. There was even a LapTop as one of the prizes.

Dru said only 5-6 kids crashed before it was time to go at 6:00am. They had a Ball!!! Gabby

Oh Gabby the night sounded so great. I bet its something he will always remember. I love the idea of a scavenger hunt in limos! That gives me an idea for ds when he graduates:) Really glad he had such a wonderful time. Hugs, Benrie

Gabby it sounds like the kids did have a blast! I think that would have been quite a night, one they won't soon forget. The grads at our school have a dry grad party at the school with a casino and stuff and they have draws and one of the prizes is a car that the mechanics class rebuilds and the stores all donate stuff like laptops and stuff, mostly things like dish sets though.

I am glad that Dru had fun!

Hugs, Lor

That sounds like a lot of fun also. The only reason for the limos was that this 2003 class was the first to go all 6 years at the school (since it opened). 124 out of 168 kids had gone there the full 6 years, very emotional to leave for both kids and teachers. Gabby

Wow, it sure is different now from when I graduated! All we had was a swimming party at one of the classmates' house!

Happy for your DS...lots of fun memories.

What a great night! Kelsey is already telling me what she wants for

her 8th grade grad party next year lol. Guess I better start

putting aside pennies for that one.

HUGS,

Cindy

My graduating class flew to Disneyland, but I didn't go, too expensive.

He was in a daze when he got home...so much fun and so little sleep. Then he slept 6 hours and we had the open house. Gabby
