As some of you know, she started college as a psychology major wanting to work with abused and neglected kids. She ended up as a photography major but at the last minute, decided she wanted to teach art to young students and has been looking into getting her teaching certificate. But she sent me some information today about a graduate program at a college in Portland for art therapy! I think that is just perfect! It has the art aspect as well as the chance to work with people who need her help...and I'm sure she would specialize in young people because that is a strength of hers. I'm guessing that she would work for a year, then apply for the program for the fall of 2004. I am so happy about this and she sounds pretty excited about it too. I just love seeing things coming together like you feel they're supposed to!

Kat,

I think that is terrific news. The ability to do things she enjoys and make use of her talents. Best wishes to Zana and her future. I can see where you would be one proud MOM.

Hugs,

Rain

Congratulations to Zana, Kat. It is so important these days to go into something you love to do. So many people out there are unfullfilled in their work, hating what they do. It reminds me of a friend of ours who became a lawyer because his father, a judge, wanted him to. He has made a lifetime being miserable in his profession and consequently not a good lawyer. Wish Zana well for me. BIG HUGS for both of you. ..Free

Kat that is wonderful for Zana, it is not often a person can find a way to put their interests together to work for them, this sounds like perfection in t he making to me!

I can imagine she is so excited!
