Boy, it's quiet around here! I'm sure you're not all out mowing or working in the garden! So many MIAs, I think it's time to email our missing sisters and tell them to get their tushies to the board, post what's going on in their lives, and SHARE!!! What do you think, ladies? There's just not enough "fat" to chew on here!! LOL! Let's get this playground back in the swing of things!!!

Grilled lamb chops for dinner tonight, they were soooo good!! Yummm!! Ddog was tickled with the bones for a treat. Had her checked out at the vet today, yearly shots, and a blood profile, to the tune of $264!!! Holy moley! And we haven't even found out why she's so lethargic and not eating! When we get the blood test results Tuesday, we'll make an appointment for her to have dental work done, hate to think what that will do to the final total! The doc thinks maybe her laziness and loss of appetite might be due to not having her thyroid med for the last couple of weeks. Hope that's all it is. Can't bear the thought of losing her, she's my sweet furry best friend!

I fell off the non-smoking wagon, I'll try again in two weeks when I go back for a "booster". I WILL quit, just didn't quite make it this time.

Dd and I are going to find something fun to do tomorrow, maybe a festival. She FINALLY finished her room, it looks great!! First time I've see her carpet since we moved in! LOL! Oh, well, at least it stayed clean! Went to our cousin's house the other day to discuss the sale, and he offered us their big screen tv for $600. We jumped at it!! The sucker is huge! Can't wait to watch movies on it!

Hope you're all having a super weekend, it's nice weather here for a change. We might actually dry out! Have a great day tomorrow! Love you all!!!!

That tv sounds great, Pam. You're going to really enjoy that.

The weather is has been variable. It's actually been awfully nice for this time of year, then we had two very chilly, foggy days, then today was nice but very windy.

I hope your furry friend perks up and starts feeling better. Give him a hug and scratch behind his ears for me.

Good Morning! It's a nice sunny day here - not sure what the plans are for today. DH still battling with the back and shoulder pain - if he feels up to it I think he will do a "batch of beer" - he makes his own beer and wine. So although I should clean the house today maybe I'll just have a lazy day. Not sure what DS (14) has planned - DD (16) spent the night out last night (don't worry - I knew all about it - lol) and I'm sure will only be home today to change clothes and go out again - she is going to her bf little sister's dance recital today.

Hmmm......maybe I'll just eat strawberris today ....I have a good size patch- picked 2 colanders full yesterday!!

Have a good Sunday,

Paula

Ok Pam...here goes. DMIl was visiting for a couple of weeks but left last week. We went to San Francisco for a long weekend. We are still working on that dang bath...going to Home Depot today for final material and we should be finished within 2 weeks...if the electrician and dry-wall guys get here. I have been battling extreme allergies this year. I finally had to get myself to the doc for some prescription eye drops...my eyes were so painful...I've never had it this bad before. Better now, tho. I have been doing extra work for dh...more running around town on business and more typing. He refuses to give me a raise, tho! LOL! Guess I'll settle for dinner out tonite! And of course there's always gardening/yard work in progress.

Now, about that smoking...you made the first step and that's great. Next attempt may be easier. Just keep telling yourself you're going to do this! The mental battle is 99% of quitting, anyway. You CAN do this! Don't make me come out there to Ohio! I'll bring Gabby with me...she'll Gabby-ize you into quitting! You don't want to go thru that, do you?? LOL!!

Hugs dear girl!

Nothing much happening here. I drove to ER 2 am Friday morning because of my hiatal hernia (it strangled my stomach?-very uncomfortable!) They thought I was strange not to drag dh with me but he has had to work 13 days straight and that was in the 10th night and I knew I could do it. The dang doc's nurse told me to call 911. Geeze! I know those rides are expensive! (I also knew it was the hernia and not a heart attack lol.)Am going to the doc's on Tues during chat to discuss what I might do about it. The ER doc suggested surgery and I really would not like a hole put into this old bod. But they do have a lapro kind now that wouldn't be as invasive...so they say. Still sounds like something not fun! lol I'm so bad it took me 5 years longer than my gfs to get my ears pierced! About that TV...hope there was delivery included in the price! lol We've decided that the 27" we have is about as big as dh ever wants to have to lift again. In 7 more days I get cataloupe and berries! Yipppeeee! I live a life of excitement. lol Hugs, BB
