Had a great long weekend here!

This weekend my dad came to my house for the weekend, it was my neices graduation so he came up for that but stayed with us here as my sisters house was full... not that I minded! On Saturday when everyone went to my sisters house for the pregrad dinner my dh and I slipped into town to buy youngest dd an icecream birthday cake and pay some bills.
That evening my middle dd went out on her first real date, first she went to a movie with her new boyfriend and then to the after grad party.. they got home at 4:20 am, but had planned on being home after that... here the after grad goes on until 7 am, but they were tired and had enough.
On Sunday was my youngests birthday so we had a celebration for her, she scored on the gifts for sure this year.... MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, and some clothes etc.
Then on Monday we headed to see my sweet grandbaby and her mom and dad. I got to hold her for the first time so I was as you can guess crying like the baby of the family! Also youngest dd finally got to see Akiva for the first time, and actually watch her being bathed. Nikki was able to wet nurse her also for the first time and I got to watch that also, very emotional for us all! My dad and my sister also got to see Akiva, it was my sisters first time seeing her so she was pretty excited too, and my dad did his measure her against his arm so he could go and tell everyone just how tiny she is.

I got a few pics of my sweet one, I made them take pics of me holding her because that is a very important date in my life.
We never got home until almost 2 this morning, but that is ok the weekend was worth the late drive home.
Boy am I ever goofy though, we headed home just because I had to work today... but gee whiz I forgot I don't have to work, it is Canada day and that is a Stat holiday!
Oh well now dh is outside putting a new garage door on his garage, and the kids are pooped out so being very quiet.
I may just go grab a book and have a little read/ nap time here.
Have a great day all!
Hugs, Lor

I just started a book called such a long journey by Rohinton Mistry which is a story set in India and about its war between it and Pakistan .. so far pretty interesting. I am also reading a book called the Cell it is about 9/11 and how it was not stopped by the FBI and CIA, this is heavy reading so I only read a little at a time on it. I just finished the other day a book by Nora Roberts that was good it was called Birthright.. If you read her then you will like this one not just sex but a good story behind it!
So looks like the kids will be bringing Akiva home in the next 2 or 3 weeks but they cannot bring her to the house they live in, it is built on the ground with no foundation and is very musty and mouldy smelling so with her underdeveloped lungs it would be dangerous for her to go there. They are looking for a place to live in the mean time. They asked if they can come stay here for a week or two and I am so mixed over that,
not because I do not want them because Oh do I ever, but for the fact that there is no hospital close by, no doctors closer than 45 minutes away. I think we may end out renting them a place for a month or 2 til they get a home of their own.
Well now this has ended out being a story all of its own. I guess I should go and do something around here instead of play on the puter all day.
