As I mentioned in a response below, I collect "irons"

to make me laugh and remind myself that it is my

most detested chore, lol.

So, if any of you see any miniature irons, or whimsical

ones...actually anything of that sort to add to my

"collection" and the item itself is less than

30 bucks, please let me know and I will pay you

for it and I'll also pay the shipping.

Also, if you know of anyone who has vintage

Strawberry Shortcake Doll stuff from 1979-81 and

is in excellent condition, let me know too...

I have a HUGE collection that I want to add to.

There are SS items on the market, but they are

not vintage.

Now, you know I'd ask this next....what do you

collect?

As far as the other collectibles, I have my share

of old coins and Hummels and uh, let me go see

what else is in the condo basement, lol.

love,

Cindy

Hi Cindy, what a great way to "remember" what you hate, lol. I collect Precious Moments figurines and snow globes (in my Christmas stuff), but lately I've been wanting to declutter and have been considering selling the precious moments, unfortunately, the market seems to be saturated and I see that you can't make any money off them (on ebay anyway), so will continue to keep and dust them. Will watch for your collectibles whenout and about. Charlie

Cindy I don't have a real collection of anything, or should I say I have not intentionally collected things. I do have a coin collection that got started when I was working and found many old or foreign coins, I bought them and held on to them for years now, and when my mom passed I was given her old coins. NOw that is it for me and my collcections. Dh did save a lot of his old toys and he even still has the boxes for many of them, he was saving for if we ever had a son.. but seems our youngest dd likes them anyhow. His favorite collcetion though is his hockey cards.. he has many from when he was a little boy and many are worth a bit of money.. not that he would part with them though.

Well that is it for us! Will keep my eyes out for an iron for you!

Hugs, Lor

Wow, my son's MIL collects old, old toys too. In fact,

she scours the country on vacations just for that.

When I go to her house I am so amazed!

love,

Cindy

p.s. we, too, got the coin collections from

greg's dad before he passed. just hanging

on to them.

I collect Tuskers - elephants. Also cut glass elephants. Just love them. My daughter had a Strawberry Shortcake doll. Has no idea of where it is now. I haven't see any around for a while either.

Funny story about irons, my 6yo ds thinks they are for melting the little plastic beads to melt them into a design....iron clothes? he seemed shocked! not in my house, too often anyway! I'll keep an eye out for the SS stuff too. I love flea marketing...about the only thing my 19yo will do with me these days.

I collect unique Irish stuff for my Irish room. Turnabout salt & pepper shakers (twofaced). And you can usually see me bidding on masters of the universe on ebay....again my 6yo is hooked! Now my 5yo is saying "I want toys in the mail!".

I also collect the china pattern both my grandmother and DH's grandmother collected. I almost have a complete set for each kid (oh and me too!). I'm putting together a set for my sister as hers got sent to Goodwill from my attic when I moved. Oh well! I figure I could always be buying back the dishes I gave away!

see ya,

Betsy

Betsy, you have interesting stuff, and how cute of you

to teach the kids to "ebay" at an early age, lol.
