While I was gone today getting my hair cut and colored, thank heavens dh was home. He had gone out to do some work in the yard and came in to get some water to drink and heard a hissing noise coming from our bedroom. The hose that attaches to the back of the toliet tank had broken and water was already on our bathroom tile and beginning to soak the carpet. Thank heavens he came in when he did or we would have a real mess in our bedroom. A trip to the hardware store to replace the hose and all is well again. The water we soaked up with the wet vac and have the fan running on it now to finish drying the carpet.

There are time when having dh retired drives me a bit nuts but today I am very glad he was here to keep us from a major flood.

Hair looking good again and dh also put up the shelves in my computer room for all the pictures I wanted to put in here. Today has definately been a good day.

Hugs to all

Mary

OMG...talk about good luck, that was it. This could have been a whole lot worse. A friend of ours had his septic backup and when his wife emptied the tub, all the water came out the downstairs bathroom toilet. It ruined all the downstairs carpet and sub-floor. What a mess that was, plus it was NOT clean water, but bath water mixed with backed up sewer...YUCK!!!

ACK! PLUMBING! It should be a 4-letter word! TG your dh was there to avoid a major flood. That would definitely ruin a person's day.

We are getting more done on the "new" bath today. At this point I wish we'd never started. It's taking forever! Mostly cause some things dh just can't do and our contractor is so busy...but he's worth waiting for. So many untrustworthy contractors around...not to mention lousy workmanship. We have more family visiting next week so hopefully the bathroom will be usable and we can avoid all that traffic in our bath...especially at nite!

Have a terrific weekend. Hugs

Cindy have him change it before it breaks and you too have the same problem we did.

Jim changed all the ones in our house so they are all new and hopefully no more problems like that for a while.

Happy Sat Cindy

Love ya
