Hello everybody,

I'm new here and my youngest daughter(15) sent me here. I started a "diet"(I hate that word) 2 yrs. ago in April. I have since lost 97#,plus or minus. We all know that changes almost daily. I'm soon to be 46 and everything is starting to sag. Yuck! My thunder thighs just won't go away, but I am proud to say I am back to my original weight from 20 yrs. ago when I got married, and I've inherited my 15 yr. olds clothes that have become too big for her. She has become very active with Tae Bo,pilates, etc. Well you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Sandy. That weight loss is amazing!! I get excited whith 2 pounds. Good for you! I think the best part about losing weight is the clothes. Old favorites and of course new favorites. Thanks to your daughter for sending you here. Nice to see new faces.

HI Sandy and welcome to our little group here. Wow 97 lbs that is simply wonderful!! I am Mary and 53 so believe me 46 is easy LOL. Things for me have not started to sag they are beginning to hit the bottom. So now I have to use my treadmill and ride my bike when it is not to hot. I live in AZ. I also swim in my pool and that really helps to get this body back in shape. I quit smoking a little over a year ago so trying to get that weight off.

I hope you will stay and play with us here we have a wonderful group of ladies.

Hugs

Mary

Hi Pam,

Good luck on losing that 50# I know the 1st couple of weeks are terrible. I felt irritable cause I could'nt eat,so I just kept going to bed early every night and eventually I got use to that feeling of an empty tummy. :o) I started walking 1-2 miles a day at first then upped it to 4 and now I do 6 everyday. I've been so dang tired lately, though(husband snores alot)it's hard to push myself to do it. I hope when I'm your age I can still be motivated to keep the weight off.

Well gotta go soak up some sun.

Take care!

Hi Lori,

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah,I know struggle's a good word for losing weight! Everything is working against at our age. But,hey,if I can do it anyone can. Exercise is the big key. I walk 6 miles daily and some days I really have to push myself, but when I get home I feel better and I have a fat-free bologna whole wheat sandwich with a slice of fat-free cheese on it. Uggghhh, right???!!?? I treat myself at night, though with alot of fattening foods, but just limit the portions.

Take care and I'll be in and out all the time,

Sandy

Hi Cindy,

You sound as though you live where I'd like to live. Haven't seen palm trees since this past March. Oh,well, they'll always be there waiting for me. :o)

HI and Welcome Sandy!

My name's Debby and I'm 50. Congrats on losing the weight! You're right perseverence and exercise makes it in the long run! Great job! I lost weight several years ago and have kept most of it off, but its tough! I'd like to lose another 25 lbs. in the near future. The older we get the harder it is! LOL

This is a great group of ladies, so glad you came to join us!:)

Keep Smiling ! Debby:)
