Had a wonderful weekend!

I was able to not only hold my sweet little grandbaby but also I was allowed to feed her a bottle. My dh held her for the first time, and he was the designated burper. i tell you she is the most expressionable little one ever.. she purses her lips up and makes tons of faces. Yes one that remidnds the kids of me... the look I give when I am scolding...lol

We brought home the kids cat to live with us because Akiva is not suppose to be around pets with her lung problem, and well we were already on the look out for a cat for our dd, so things worked out very well there.

Dsil came back with us this weekend, he said he wanted to help dh with some more cementing and stuff... sort of his way of paying us back for helping them out while they were in Vancouver. We told him we would never let them do without and that we do not need to be repaid but well this guy wants to do it so hey why not let him.

I am jsut being selfish because I enjoy his company that much! But really wish that my dd could have also come up here... but like she said there is no way I will leave our baby for the nurses to tend to...I am the mom after all! I cannot believe just how much she has grown up in the past 3 months.. it is so noticeable to not only me but others also. I am so very proud of her!

I have yet to down load the pictures from us at the hospital.. I can never remember what way the card has to be put into the reader, so have to wait for my dh to do it for me...funny that is about the only thing on this computer he is better at than I am. he says that is because I never let him near it... I say it is because he is always so busy with stuff he had no time to play on here.

Anyhow I am off now to make the guys a bite to eat... they have been outside working away all morning.

Have a great Monday everyone!

Hugs Lor

Lori how wondeful I cannot imagine a better time for both you and AL. Akiva is so beautiful I got the pictures you sent and she is well beyond words. I am not supprised your dd has done a lot of growing up since Akiva was born. She has had to go through so much just to get her little girl to this point in her life. She is also your daughter my friend so she had this in her all along just took having her own little one for it to come out.

Much happiness to you all as you watch this precious little one grow.

Love

Mary

Ah Mare thanks! Yes she is a beauty or to us she is! Yes dd & dsil did have to go through a lot to make them grow up like that, and I am so glad that they have actually done it.

Hugs to you Mare! Lor

I am so happy you got to hold and feed the baby. You must be on cloud 9! Tell Al to let dsil do all the heavy work and have him supervise:) I didn't forget about his arthritis and other problems and will email you. Hugs, Bernie

Lori, that is just so wonderful. I love hearing about that baby. Sounds like you have a real winner for a son-in-law and isn't it great to watch your kids grow up right in front of your eyes. Nothing like kids of their own to do that. Same thing happened with my son. What a memory that will be...the first time you got to hold her and feed her! Can't wait for the pictures.

Yea we are on cloud nine especially seeing as Akiva is coming home this Sunday! What a time we have had the past couple of months... now for the fun stuff.

Now as for Al letting dsil do all the heavy work... well you know Al he is one who can not sit out and let others do what his mind thinks he can do... so he goes out and does that darn work and then comes in at night and pays the price for it.

He said that for 2 days after they drained the fluid it felt a bit better but since then it has been back like day one!

ALl my whining and grumbling still did not stop him from working though, and you can believe I grumbled lots of it and real nasally to get to him...LOL

Please keep us updated on Mac ok!

Hugs, Lor
