Baking and making jelly. I let my neighbor pick raspberries, yesterday, but I must have missed the picking so I went out and picked cherries, lol. I have a pie in the oven and I've started the jelly. Have never done anything with fresh cherries, so wish me luck. At least it smells good. Supposed to be a nice day here after the humidity moves out, so I'm going to call my sis and see if she wants to join me for a long walk...I need it. The neighbor that picked my berries is taking us out for dinner tommorrow night. I'm looking forward to that, we haven't done that in a long time, but I'll miss chat once again. Wishing you all a lovely day. Charlie

Charlie,

YUM!! The pie and the jelly sound good. You are really industrious with the picking and cooking. Wish I were close enough to pick some too! Enjoy your dinner out!

Hugs,

Sooze

Well that is great that you will be going out to dinner and with such great company! I hope you have a great time! SOunds like your berries are doing well this year.. this year the cherries did not do as well as last year here, but they still taste great!

Hope that the pies turn out and I am sure that they will.

Have a good time tonight! Hugs, Lor

Hi Charlie...Your cooking sounds wonderful! I've been walking too. Not long walks but try to get out several times a week. Good to see you posting.

Hope your day was a good one!

Hugs

Hi Charlie...Now making jellies, canning, freezing, I've tried all that a long time ago. Just isn't my thing. Very practical, but not for me. I bet the cherries make lots of good things to eat. Do keep us posted on what you use them for. Do cherry bushes have thorns? BIG HUGS. ..Free

YES! Pie is delicious and the jelly did "jell", lol. I was a little worried, but once it cooled it was fine. Charlie

Thanks Sooze, dh wants to go to a rest "in town" and go to the car show. He finally unveiled his 79 Trans Am for the summer, don't think he had it out at all last year. Charlie

Both are great Mary. I love cherry pie, but have never tried making one from fresh berries. Now I'm thinking of canny a few jars for winter...need to get a pitter though, it's alot of work. Charlie
