Saw my gorgeous surgeon, you won't believe this! After all these expensive and unpleasant tests, he laid me back, felt around, and when I said "OUCH!", he knew exactly what this pain is. It has a long name, but it's basically an inflamed cartilege between two lower ribs and happens to be sitting right on top of a nerve. The reason it goes around to the back sometimes is that's where the cartilege goes! Thank God nothing serious, figured it wasn't when all the tests came back negative, but if my GP had only touched me, he could have found this out!!! Grrrr!! All this expense for no good reason! No wonder insurance premiums are up!!! I think it's time to change doctors. Anyway, the surgeon says I need a hot tub to help it, sounds good to me! LOL!

Dd's car is probably totalled, body shop says at least $850 damage to the front end of just the body, and she really destroyed the engine parts, radiator, etc. Here I thought I was getting her a car that would stand up to minor bumps. It just astounds me that there can be so much damage to hers and not a mark on the other ones!!! Ok, a couple scratches on their bumper, but that's it! So we'll be sharing my van for the next week, and then go to court Wednesday morning.

We made a brief run to the neighboring county fair late last night, had some good fair food and the kids rode a couple of rides. A little bit of fun in the midst of all this craziness!

Have a great day ladies, I'll be back later!

Hugs to all, Pam

Pam,

So sorry about dd's car. You guys have had more than your share of car woes! I hope all goes well for you in court.

Hey....good news from the doc! At least you know what it is now. It sounds like no surgery...I guess he thinks it will go away with time?? Sure hope so! I'm sure that stress is a factor in it as well. Maybe someday you can get off the merry-go-round?? LOL!

Many hugs,

Sooze

Pam I am so glad you finally found out what that pain is. Now how do you relive it other than a hot tub? I have one come on out for a visit.

Cars just do not stand up to accidents anymore. Sorry that Sarah's car is totalled. Good luck with the court.

Love

Mary

well glad to hear that the pain is nothing that is majorly serious, uncomfortable yes but fixable too. That is good!

So sorry to hear that the car is totalled, not a good thing at all!

Have a good day and hugs, Lor

So, what can they do for this cartilage problem, anything? Did they say just time will fix it? Good luck to dd at court! Big Hugs, Gabby

Pam, I'm so glad your pain is nothing serious. I'm surprised that your doctor didn't "touch" the spot, seems like that's usually the first thing they do to see if it's painful to the touch. An the other hand, your "new" doctor may have had previous experience with this particular problem so recognized it right away. A number of years ago dh went to a doctor in TX when he became ill. After a few questions, the doctor he went to knew immediatly that it was a reaction to yellow food dye. Turns out he had done research on that particular thing. If dh had gone to any other doctor, he may have endured numerous tests before finding out the problem.

I know what you mean about cars being so expensive to fix. Even just "normal" maintenance is expensive. Thank goodness dh can do most of that himself. Guess we just have to continue to be thankful that dd was ok. I hope you can find a cheap replacement car. The fair sounds fun, not sure we'll get to ours this year, ds will be away at camp during the local county fair and he'll be in school already when the state fair is going on...maye a weekend Visit?

Aloha Pam!

Well that is good news that you don't have cancer or any thing like that. But I hear ya about all the tests they run on ya.

Is your daughter alright? The girl across the street totaled 2 cars in just six months.

Aloha,

Leilani
