girls more often. I met my sisters and some other friends on Thursday for "lunch". Actually my older sister, who can be a bit of a ditz, told me it was for lunch at 2:00. I got there at two, my YOUNGER sister showed up at 2:40 (no older sister yet), just as I was getting ready to leave the rest. Found out from younger that they were meeting at 2:30 for drinks!!! Anyway, we all sat at the bar and had a great time. Three of us did order lunch around 3:30. And by the way, older sis finally showed up at 3:00, she's always late.

Dh and I were wined and dined by our neighbors on Friday night. Again, it was a great evening. Df wanted to thank us for all the raspberries I let her pick. Not a problem, I tell her, I'm happy not to have to pick. I did invite them back to our house to help us get rid of that cherry pie so we wouldn't HAVE to eat it all, lol.

Ds came home from camp yesterday and my gosh, he seems to have matured since he was gone! This is a good thing, but still.....seems my baby is growing up. He'll be going again in two weeks, this time for 3 weeks. It's a counseler in training session and I can't imagine how this might change him.

Well, I'm off to church and other fun things. Our town is celebrating River Town days this weekend and yesterday we went to the sidewalk sales. Today we may walk around the craft fairs and see the parade if ds is interested. Enjoy your day whatever you're doing. Charlie

So much fun stuff going on in your life right now. Your outing with the girls sounds like a blast, even if wires were crossed, it turned out great. Also sounds like you have some real nice friends/neighbors. Save me any cherry pie? hee-hee About ds, this is the age where you may see alot of change rather quickly, a transition time. He sounds like such a nice young man and I know you are very proud of him. Hugs and Love, Gabby

You're right RJ, the grow up way too fast...it's like one day you're telling them to "grow up" and the next, you're wondering where the years went. We didnt' go to the parade after all, he went to a movie with a friend, more fun than being with mom I guess, lol. Charlie

Sorry, Gabs, the pie is all gone. In fact, the cherries are even starting to dry up on the tree (are they supposed to do that?). Ds is chaning and even his body, he's finally starting to loose that baby face, lol. How is your ds doing? what is he up to this summer and plans for school in the fall? Charlie

Ds has finally had time to totally organize his new bedroom since moving over from what is now the guest room. This room was enlarged when we added the rec room. It also has a bathroom next to it. This new bath has 2 doors, one of which goes into ds's room. Lots of privacy now for him. He is taking a summer class at the college in Film Production. He loves it. That is over 8/14 (I think) and his fall classes start 9/22. In between we are going to Wisconsin to see DH's mom and step-dad. It's too hard for them to travel anymore, so we are going there. We fly into Wausau this time. So close and yet so far Charlie....HUGS! Gabby
