barium swallow and they want to do a more involved test lol closer to what my doc originally asked them to do but uh...deeper to look at my ducts around my gall bladder and my pancreas. (An ERCP) Told them that I think that I want to talk with my primary doc first. I just read a bit about this test and geeze I don't like what can happen if they aren't really, really good with it. Like they could irritate my pancreas and that would be painful and I really try to avoid pain. I've decided that no matter what, I'm not having it done at least before our vacation but then I start thinking about what else I'd like to do before it. A bit scope shy? Moi? You betcha! On the positive side, it looks like the scope also have some little tools in the end of it with the camera where they might be able to fix something if they found anything right then and there. Of course, that's another bit that gives me shivers. lol Oy! Hugs, BB

You can't worry about the "what ifs", you know that. They have to tell you anything that could go wrong. My release said my doctor could accidently do something to affect my brain, I didn't like hearing that either. Of course my dh said, "how would we know if your brain was affected?"...LOl, he's so bad!! BB, have the tests done, you need to know what is going on, but then you already know that. Hugs, Gabby

I'd probably have the same fear of the unknown;

I think everything will go okay for you, tho.

HUGS,

Cindy

Bobbie I have to agree with Gabby here you need to have these test done and see what is going on. Talk to your regular Dr and see what he says. The sooner you let them run the test the sooner you will know what is wrong and can start getting well. As for Gabby's brain well now gotta agree with her Dr. Rofl. Sorry Gabby just couldn't resist.

Love ya

Well BB what ever they do I hope it is over with soon and they find that it is not as bad as your think it is. Hate those tests... not fun at all!

Now don't go doing my trick and keep on stalling the sooner it is done the better!

Take care hugs, Lor

BB, Good Luck with those tests....get them done, lady...you aren't going to feel better til they find out why you're hurting! The anticipation is usually the worst as far as tests go!

Keep us posted, too!

Hugs

Bobbi, we had a patient who wanted to know whether he could make a tape of his colonoscopy. The doc said it could be done. Maybe you could do that with your scope too! A whole new era of home movies...for folks who don't find it fulfilling enough to stand around comparing their cholesterol figures.

I agree...DEFINITELY wait until after your vacation! Good luck.
