Today started off really good, Coco, my all-american dog, had a good day also. She is 16 years old and diabetic and most days she just sleeps, but today she was frisky, ran a little bit and even barked some for her treats!! She is half blind and mostly deaf, but not in any pain so we keep her comfortable. I decided to sit in the swing on the porch, what a mistake!! It broke with me and bam!! Now I have a bruised hip, some scratches. To add to my fall, the chain fell and hit me in the head! So now I am sore and my head hurts! Til hubby gets the swing fixed and maybe after I think I will stick to my rocking chair, safer that way!! Got to mess around in the house and maybe get in the pool(if I'm able) I think the sunshine will feel good on these ole bones today. See ya, Sherry

HI Sherry

Ouch sorry your swing fell with you in it. Sure hope you feel better soon.Your doggie sounds like a real sweetie. Going to be another hot one here in the desert as well and probably a good day to hit the pool

Sherry sorry to hear about your swing breaking and you getting hurt, that is not fun. I think maybe the rockign chair is a good spot to sit and rest up!

Happy to hear your Coco is having a good day that is a good thing.

Hugs, Lor

Sorry, but I'm sitting here LOL at your post. I can just see you thumping to the ground and then, while you still have a dazed and rather bewildered look on your face wondering what happened, having the chain come down and bop your poor head. I know it's not funny but...(snicker, snicker)...it does paint quite a picture.

I had a big old dog like that too. He was mostly blind and deaf and had a hard time with arthritis. Did okay when I got an aspirin into him in the morning before he tried to get up. It was always neat to see him still trying to enjoy life, but kind of heartbreaking too. He was quite a dog and I'll never forget him.

I hope your aches and pains clear up soon. Definitely time for a new swing!

OUCH I bet that hurt! Things hurt more now than they did when we were twenty, don't they. I hope you are feeling better now. I had a cat that lived to 19 that was deaf and blind and arthritic. Special hugs to Coco. And to you too.

Ouch! That sounds like a nasty fall, Sherry! Maybe some sun and a relaxing dip in the pool will help the aches and pains. The rocking chair sounds like a good idea! Take care and feel better soon!

Gentle hugs, Pam
