Went to see an Neurologist today.......m

I had been having leg pains probably from taking meds for high cholrestol and he comfirmed that today as since I stopped taking them two months ago the legs are getting much better. While doing a neurological exam he hear an unusual noises in the left coritoid artery. So tomorrow will go for ultra sound to see what the problem there is.Darn if it isn't one thing wrong it is another!! This ole 53 year old body is falling apart. LOL I am not too worried since I have not been having problems with vision which he says would be a better indication of a major problem there.
Hope everyone had a good Tuesday
Hugs to all

Today is the day for your doctor visit. I just want you to know that I'm thinking about you, and sincerely hope that nothing serious is found. Sometimes medications can fool with you eyesight too. If you have migrains, that can also effect your vision.
I agree, being in your 50s is no fun, lol. I have more problems than I have body parts. Now how is that possible?
Chin up gal, and let us know ASAP that all is well.
Lots of hugs and cyber-handholding. Love ya , Terry
I am not taking any meds now so no problems with that and nope I don't have migranes either so just keeping my fingers crossed this is something simple.
Thanks for the good thoughts.

I had tried Lipitor for 1 1/2 weeks and had leg pains. MD said get off of them. But,there are nights often now when I can't walk good, have to drag my feet across the floor and use the countertops to get around. So,maybe it's not the meds and we are experiencing some other problem. They hurt so bad some nights I'm almost in tears. It's a scary feeling. I've been experiencing lots of skipped heartbeats, too. Lots meaning every 2-8 beats get skipped on a pattern.
Good luck!

I still have some problems too but the neurologist said it takes a long time to gain the strength back that the meds take away. I was on four different types of medications to lower my chlorestol. The changes were always due to the insurance company insisting they change it. Also I was on meds for four years before they took me off. As for the skipped beats of your heart you should check with a dr about that. I still have trouble getting around some nights if I have been sitting too long. However some of that has to do with just getting older darn it. LOL
I have an irregular heart beat but it has nothing to do with the meds I was on. Seems I was just born with it. My heart pauses for about 20 seconds then continues to beat. Happens all the time but it is normal for me.
Take good care Sandy
