Feel better now? LOL. I can sue understand I had to have lower back surgery when I was your age. No fun but it sure did fix up my back. I am not in the pain I was before and though it is not perfect it doesn't hurt like it did. As for those teeth. Think twice before having them all taken out. You loose a lot of chewing power when you have false teeth. I used to be a dental assistant years ago. As for the sinus well good luck. I used to have more problems with mine than I do now thank heavens that is one problem that got better as the years went by. Heck girl 45 is young!!
Have a good evening
Hugs
Mary
I know how you feel, to have everything happen all at
once. You will get through somehow.
Big Hugs,
Cindy

I hear ya. I'm 47. My doctor recently told me, "If it weren't for the Meniere's disease, the allergies, the panic attacks, and the depression, you'd be perfectly healthy." Add to that a bad knee and ankle from some accidents and some arthritis. I know just how you feel.
My SO had a discoscopy done on one of his neck vertebrae. If you need back surgery look into getting the least invasive possible. If you can, do the surgery where they only take out the damaged part and relieve pressure on the nerve. It worked well for him until we were hit head-on earlier this year. Now, he's facing possible surgery again because the car accident redamaged the area. If your nerves are damaged, you might ask your doctor about Neurontin. It has helped my SO tremendously! I know you don't like pills, but sometimes they are necessary.
Please consider about your teeth. You really want to keep them as long as possible. I know people who have had theirs removed and lived a long time regretting their choice.
About your sinuses, I know there are great specialists out there. If you can, get in to see as many as you need to to get some help. I have a rare inner ear disorder and have been all over California getting treatment. I'm now working on getting in to see a doctor in Washington state.
I hope this doesn't sound like a lecture, but you are ultimately responsible for your health. If you do whatever you can to get well, then you'll know that you're taking care of yourself. Sometimes, that lessens the upset about falling apart. At least, it does for me. Another part of any chronic condition, especially a painful one, is depression. You might need help with that, too. Most GPs these days know enough about the new drugs to help.
My heart goes out to you in sisterhood.
I don't think we have talked before. I am 51, and it kinda seems that you are falling apart.
Some advice about you teeth. Do not have them all pulled! You want to keep you own teeth as long as you can. I know you probably wrote that out of frustration.
I'm sorry you are feeling so sad, but remember, going through peri-menopause can be hard for some people, and may blow everything way out of porportion (sp?). I have been throught it, many ladies on this board have been throught it and we can possibly give you some advice. There is also a menopause board on Ivillage - not to take you away from us, but they are more tuned in to peri. I also hope u have talked to your doctor about this.
I've also had back problems all of my life, and I had a great ortho doc that helped me so much w/o surgery. Also seeing a chiropractor helped me lots too, until I was diagnosed w/fibromyalgia.
Pls don't be so hard on yourself, take care of your body, even if it involves a pill here and there. It's not so awful. I just hate to see you so down on yourself and so unhappy.
Hope to see your smiley face again soon. This board is so supportive.
Wishing you lots of luck and sending you a big hug. Terry
