lets just have anything we don't agree with deleted. Maybe we could do that with some people too! Wow, just picture it, anyone who doesn't "measure" up, fit into our little groove, whatever we find offensive.
All over someones personal opinion given without being overly rude in my opinion, others have been hurt. I didn't think that was our purpose here. Thought we were here to share our joys and sorrows and support one another.
Maybe we could do away with that 5th ammendment while were at it. Turn everyone into our perfect clones and die from terminal boredom.
Personaly I regret the disappearance of any of the group here. Unfortunately that seems to be the result of what happened here.
You all know by now, I am straight forward and don't pull my punches. Also, would never intentionaly hurt anyone. Seems to me someone is owed an apology.
Peace to you all,
Rain

I don't recall saying in my post about anyone being unwelcome or vise a versa. Someone did get the impression they were very unwelcome and their views unappreciated though. This person was only attempting to stick up for the people she met here.
Gabby, it just bothers me to see things like that happen. No reason to hurt others without what you consider justification. But then in my opinion there is no justification for hurting others. Life is just to darn short and has enough sorrows and troubles of it's own.
I read both posts and asked someone to please explain the controversy in them. Still waiting!
Thanks for replying Gabby.

Rain
Something we have to remember is the village is a business - if someone were to cause a "disruption" in a store, mall, ball game, etc., the problem would be dealt with by management. The same here. The "powers that be" check and decide if something should be dealt with. If so, it's deleted. We're not clones, we have differing opinions, and that's good. From the TOS: "We invite and encourage a healthy exchange of opinions; disagreements are okay. If you disagree with a member's post or opinion during a live chat, by all means, challenge the opinion. However, any challenge must be given with a sense of RESPECT and caring for the other person. The real objective of community is to understand each other, not to attack others and convince them that you're right. Name calling, insults, "flaming" and attacks are not appropriate and will not be tolerated. Agree to disagree respectfully."

Do think there needs to be a bit more consideration for other people though.
