Here I am, company free and no weeds to pull. I'm just kicking back relaxing, reading and trying not to hear the roar of 800,000 motorcycles in the background. Yes, it's that time of the year and the Motorcycle Rally is going full boar (bore?). We have ventured out a few times only to return home with blood pressure off the charts because of all the idiots on the road. Yikes! You would not believe! Well, most of you probably would because I rant and rave every year at this time.
Haven't been here for awhile and I see a lot of new faces. Welcome to all of you! And to all those "old" faces....how are you all doing? What's happening out there in cyberland? And, what happened to the WB website. Is it gone or am I just blinder than a bat? Firm embrace to all! Kay

I knew there was a reason I've been bouncing in and out of here all day...once I saw Barb's question {{and against my own better judgement responded! :o( LOL!}} I figured it would draw a few of us who have been dashing about but popping in to check up on things now and then.
Whatcha reading Buff? I read the first Stephanie Plum...she is something! Love that girl. So I'm off to the library to get #2 & #3. I'm hooked now! Who should play her in the movie? I think Sandra Bullock would've been great a few years ago but getting a little too old now. Maybe Kate Hudson? She's a cutie...like her mom. Benjamin Bratt for Ranger but can't think of who for Joe???
Can you visit at least once a month? Maybe we should set a date? LOL! Love ya toots! Hugs.

Sorry about the bikers. Why not go join them? A little tube top, short shorts and temporary tattoos and you're all set! The best part would be seeing you riding around town on a bicycle with a card stuck in the spokes, going "vroom, vroom"! That'd show them!
How did you get company free time? You must have taken up the drawbridge and filled the moat! With all the relaxing, what are you reading? Anything good? Enjoy the time, as I'm sure your "B&B" will be full again soon.

Did you just finally get around to reading the first in the Stephanie Plum series? You silly! Well, glad you finally settled in for the experience. Each one only gets better. Before long your tongue will automatically go into salute mode everytime Ranger or Joe step out on a page. Yummies! There is a rumor that a movie will be made. Interesting enough, almost everyone that I've ever discussed this with has picked Sandra Bullock for the role of Stephanie. Actually, she could pull it off because Stephanie is in her 30's. Too bad Estelle Parsons is so ill. Just the mention of "Grandma" conjurs up an image of Estelle when she played on Golden Girls. I think for Ranger and Joe they'd have to find actors who are new. I can't think of anyone in the current crop of hot guys that fit the part of either of those men. Sigh! I don't know how poor Stephanie could every choose between them. Waiting till number #10 to come out is gonna be hard!
Right now I'm reading "Breathing Room" by Susan Elizabeth Phillips AND a mystery by Leslie Glass, "The Silent Bride". Hopefully I'll start having my time to read now that summer is settling down around here.
Yep, you're right. Need to just put it on my appointment book to show up here at least once a month! I'm so out of the loop I have no idea what's going on with anyone. If I was better at answering e-mails I'd get better clues, eh? LOL! Hugs! Kay
Actually, you have an excellent idea. If I were to put on nothing more than a tube top and short shorts, that would be enough to send a whole lotta bikers screaming and screeching for the hills! Toss in a couple of ugly tatoos and I could probably clear out this part of the Black Hills!
Actually, summer company isn't totally through. Bob reminded me we still have an iffy couple coming next week. Iffy, meaning it's one of those "maybe we can, maybe we can't" situations. So, we may be iffy about being home. Maybe we will and maybe we won't!
I'm actually getting time to read more than a few paragraphs a day. "Breathing Room" by Susan Elizabeth Phillips and an author I've never read anything by before. Leslie Glass, "The Silent Bride". Mystery and seems good so far. Someday I'm going to settle down and try reading one book at a time just for the heck of it. Nah, I probably won't. So many books...so little time. What are you reading? Or doing? Hugs! Kay
I'm still working on "getting organized". I bought another "clear out the clutter" book, but lost it in one of the stack of papers. I found it again, and it's now sitting on TOP of the stack of stuff, so will be the next thing I actually read. ;-P
I need to get to Border's soon. A few years ago, we "accidently" were issued a Border's Visa, so every month we get a $5 cert from them along with our bill, and get more of them, depending on how much we use it. Needless to say, I love collecting them for a while, then going wild in the store! With all the rain we've had this summer, we needed some more drainage/sump pump supplies, so dh used that card, and I plan on having a great time next week, when I get to the book store! No specific books planned, I just like to wander and see what strikes my fancy at the moment. Makes me feel totally decadent! LOL

Its good to see you here again. I, for one, miss your eloquent posts! I have had a busy summer...lots of travel....though within the borders of the US!! School started here this week so I am back on schedule with all the children/youth/adult activities and rehearsals at church. Funny how my 20 hour work week so easily turns into 30!! Hmmmmm!
I have meant to e-mail you....I owe everyone!! Naughty Sooze!! I'll make a better effort soon!
Many hugs!
