What a Nice Surprise!.............

After Friday night chat, which is really
3pm in the afternoon in Hawaii, I got
ready again and went back to the big
mall to see my little granddaughter Kayla,
age 7, dance hula on stage. Good-sized
crowd, too.
She was a doll, smiling throughout all her
dancing and swaying those little hips wide, as if
she really had some on her tiny body.
And what was also cute and charming was the
3 old men who danced 2 hulas. They were good,
and could move as fast as the 20-year old guys.
I know they were at least 65 yrs old plus, lol.
They were fully clothed in aloha attire, as opposed
to authentic "pick a butt, any butt" barely there
loincloth wear. hee hee. that, you would only
see in the major hula festivals.
Well my added surprise was that I did not expect
to see that many extended family members show up
for the program. Usually only 10 of us go, but
this was more like 30. It was really sweet to
see everyone!
Kayla loved that, too, as she received more money
that way. (yes, we spoil them after performances)
After the program, we took over the food court.
See ya!!
Hugs,
Cindy

Take care and give Kayla a hug for me!

I bet she felt like a queen for the day with all you celebrating afterwards... so special!
Hugs, Lor
great activity for senior citizens. There was also a group
of ladies in their 50's doing a few hulas; very admirable!!
Hugs, and thanks!
