I feel good inside now!

Lately I have been feeling a little blue. You know just a few meno moments. Down for no good reason, just because. Having trouble staying out of this one. So I did what I usually do. I put on my favourite Christmas movie, It's a Wonderful Life. Jimmy always makes me feel better. Sometimes I play my favourite songs and sing out loud and dance. Of course no one needs to be within a couple of miles for me to do that. But tonight my DH was sleeping so it had to be a quiet release. I feel good inside now! That movie is like a hug. Is it really that silly to watch Christmas movies in the summer time? I try to do that alone so that I can avoid the looks my family gives me.

So what do you ladies do to make yourself feel better?

I think that's fantastic and no, it's not silly to watch a good Christmas movie in summer. It's a wonderful feel-good movie. What do I do.....kitty hugs! I snuggle up with Tiger or Socks, they are so very sweet. I love to play pinochle, so when I feel down or a little sickly, I get Cappy to play on-line pinochle with me. She's a great friend and good company, even over the net. Gabby

Lilac,

For me, it's cooking. Enjoy feeding people. lol

Just a note...If you look at my profile guess what my favorite movie is. It's a wonderful movie to watch anytime. I don't think it's stange at all.

Hope you are feeling much better,

Rain

HI LM

I like that movie too. I usually call a good friend and have a nice chat with them. Seems to always raise my spirits. I am a pretty upbeat girl though and don't usually suffer from much down time.

Hugs

I don't think that is silly at all LM. Loved your analogy that your favorite movie is like a big hug. When I am feeling like that I usually hibernate for a day or so and if I can't do that a good cry in the shower makes me feel like new again. Dang the tiresome hormones!

Good question LM!

For me it depends on whats up. Like if I'm bogged down with a decision to be made or just needing to talk things through or in need of a good pep talk, then a phone call to a good friend does the trick. If I'm into hibernation and want to hide from the world I love a nice long bubble bath! If I really need to get my mind in gear, I play the piano....different music for different moods. Seems like that self expression helps clear the brain and lift the spirits!! At least it works for me!

Hugs,

Sooze

I think that is a cool way to get outta the dumps... For me I like to have a nice warm bath with candles burning and a good "feel good" book. I think there is reason a person can't watch xmas movies this time of year... we watch them any time...and get alot of pleasure out of them.

Glad to see you are feeling better!

hugs Lor
