Hey hey hey, I am tickled to death right now, we got a phone call from Dusty about one o'clock this morning. He sounded really good, laughing lots, a little hysterical to me, but then maybe it was me. Anyway he was fixing to go on patrol and said it was 120 degrees there. He wants to come home, and said things were getting a little better for them there. He was able to see some tv and now get to a phone!! He will be there til next May and then it will have been a year and 8 months since we have seen him. Got to go and get grandson in bed for school tomorrow. Thanks for all prayers and well wishes for our family, please remember all the soldiers over there still. Sherry

Oh Sherry, what that one phone call does to the spirit. Sending lots of prayers for Dusty that he is safe over there. My son was gone to Korea for a year and he wasn't even in the hot spot. You dear lady, love and BIG HUGS for you. ..Free

Dilly, what a great thing is a phone call from a loved one, especially one you're so worried about. I'm praying that all our servicemen and women come home safely and SOON!!

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! I know what it's like to get that phone call. I have a little brother over there now. It's great to hear your son's doing well. Sounds like they had a cold front or something over there. Little bro had said it's been being 125-130+. Yikes! I'm glad he can call you and has some creature comforts. He's in my thoughts.

I realize this is a late reply, but happy

that you heard from your Dusty. I know hearing

their voice is something that means the world.

My dd was in basic and we really needed to

hear each others voice as often as possible.

She did get an honorable discharge soon after

basic was complete...so, I have not had the worry

you relatives of active military have.
