Get your minds out of the gutter, ladies. I have started loosing weitht, BUT it is so hard not to snack on the wrong things. We took everything wrong out of the house and replaced them with healthy food to eat, but I still eat too much.

Bill & I are walking almost every night, grocery shopping lasts twice as long with us both looking at lables. Sept 6 we both go to a class on diabetes and I guess I'm on my way to a different way of life. I think the hardest thing to do will be wearing shoes all the time. I hate shoes and even garden bare-foot. Oh supporters, please help me be strong. Love and BIG HUGS. ..Free

HI Free

Hey I am so glad to see you. I know it is tough but you will get the hang of it. One step at a time and you will learn to do it. You are stronger than you think my friend. You know that each and everyone of us here is behind you and will help you anyway we can.

I dreamed about you the other night. We were shopping together and buying out a store. What fun we were having. I am not sure exactly where we were. Yesterday I was getting my nails done and I almost fell out of the chair. A lady came in for a repair and I swear Free it was you but with a sorta light blonde hair. I didn't speak to the lady, she probably thought I was nuts staring at her LOL. Well you know I am thinking about you my friend.

You keep those shoes on and keep those feet in good shape. I hate wearing shoes too but you have to do it now so you just will that is all there is too it.

Love ya

Mary

Sounds like you're doing just fine, Free, but I know it must be hard. It's so many changes at once! But I'm with you...hard as it would be to cut down on things and cut so many things out of my diet, wearing shoes would really be tough. Maybe you can find some foot covering that protects the feet but still feels comfortable.

Good luck to you and keep up the good work!

Free, huge hugs going your way.

My mother and 8 out of 12 of her siblings had diabetis. I won't even go into how many cousins with it.

These days you can live a long and happy life with that disease. Not sure if you knew but the 13 year old that is here in the summer has it. And, yes....shoes on the feet. Just find something soft and comfy. Remember, you have a disease, it doesn't own you.

Sending positive vibes that all goes well. Congrats on the weight loss.

Wonder if gardening clogs would be good enough to wear when gardening. Reading the labels will get to be second nature but it all takes time and we humans hate to wait. I have to do it to keep casein out of our house and they put it into the strangest stuff, but keeping shoes on is hard! I had to do it with the plantar's faceitis but now I'm just so happy to be able to walk around at all that I do wear shoes to keep my feet in alignment and out of pain. Clogs helped lots for me. You will be able to get through this! You will! You will! The only snack food we have in the house since we began to diet in June is almonds and peanuts. They really do seem to help keep our blood sugar level and keep the cravings at bay. Hugs, BB

Oh boy, Free, do I know how hard it is to lose weight. I'm trying again for the umpteenth time in my life. But you CAN do this! It sounds like you already have lost so that will help you motivate to continue. You're doing all the right things. Keep those temptations out of the house and keep up the walking. You'll do great!!!

Many hugs, Darby
