a different plan and now the water to the house is shut off. Seems dh decided to put in the new under the sink water filtering system today and broke the shut off valve under that sink. Yikes I had water all over the place in my kitchen and family room area. He had decided to put it in the bar sink and just hook it up directly to the cold water line and not have to put in a separate facuet. Sounded like an easy task. Oh well he is now off to Home Depot to get new parts. I got the water cleaned up and have the wet towels outside drying. So guess I will just have to change my plans of doing laundry and do something else.

Maybe I will just go read my book LOL

Hope everyone has a good Saturday

Hugs

Mary

Isn't it something how our hubbies can "ruin" our plans????????

Low and behold if I should goof up HIS plans to go golfing................we have to plan our weekend around his golf. But on the other hand, he does work hard all week, so.......

And right now he is putting in our new entry doors. So he is earning his day for golf.

We live in an old house, just replaced our windows last yr., now this year we are putting in a new front entrance door, the one that I actually want even thou it cost more, totally totally love it!!!!!!!!! and last weekend he put in our side entry door. Now we have good tight sealing doors and windows from the old rattlely and drafty ones we had before.

So.......I can't complain too much. Except, like you said a simple task always evolves into a big one. There are always things you don't expect, or alass something goes really wrong and you end up with a big mess.

I have been in your shoes many times over the years as we have remodeled out house. You replace a piece of water pipe and it breaks somewhere else down along the line. So a one hr job turns into an all afternooner.............

He does the things I can't handle, but the painting and wallpapering, etc....I will do.

It's just the way things go, I guess........

Mare, how awful, but glad he can fix it

without paying for a plumber.

I remember one Saturday a few years ago

I missed Kelsey in a major parade because

an old pipe broke just one hour prior

and my kitchen flooded a little.

Its a good thing I was actually still home

to notice it, if not, the whole condo would

have flooded.

Better yet, it was a good thing that we came

home from Connecticut the day before!!!

hugs,

Cindy

HI Julie

Sounds like your house is really coming along. This was just suppose to be a small project that would only take an hour maybe. My dh is retired now, he used to work in retail but was trained as a plumber by his father who was a plumber by trade. So this should have been pretty simple but no matter he has the job done now my water back on and all it well.

Hope you have a good Sat.

Hugs

HI Cindy

Wow you were lucky. I had a pipe break to my ice maker on the fridge while I was gone to the grocery store once. When I got back my entire kitchen and family room was flooded. That was a mess. This one is now taken care of thank heavens. Dh learn plumbing from his father who was a plumber so we rarely have to call a plumber. Filter has been installed and new shut off valve put on, the water is back on so all is once again good. I think LOL

Enjoy your Saturday my friend

Love ya

Oh, Mare, don't you just hate it when those home "improvement" projecta aren't? lol. Sorry for the mess, I hope dh got your water fixed and back on. Seems these things never go as easily as expected. A good book sounds like a great alternative. Laundry will always be there *smile*. Take care, Charlie

Boy do I know this feeling. I always add at least twice the price and tripple the time to do any job. Amazing I get pretty close with this theory. Men, think it is easy, but Murphy's law always jumps in and messes things up. Hope the water is on and the sink is back in one piece.
