Let me change what I can.... Let me accept that which I cannot change.... Let me ignore that which I cannot change or accept.....

Let me run away from that which I cannot change, accept, or ignore....

Let me lock myself in the bathroom where it is cool and drink a maitai in peace, hold my hands over my ears.... and hum about that which I cannot change... accept... ignore... or run away from....

I really hate this heat! You know I say life is not as hard as some people make it out to be.... but today I can get on line so I have to say to ya all.... it is so hot I do not know about that saying any more?? ha ha ha... So I need another one to live by!!! ha ha ha...

Hi Leilani! The humidity here is stifling even though the temps are only in the low 90's. Our air condition never goes off, but at least it controls the humidity in the house (hate to see THESE electric bills - LOL!) We should be getting some relief by the weekend, but tonight there are tornado watches all over this area - we battened down the hatches and moved all the deck furniture inside the garage.

Good luck in managing the heat!

Lei girl, I am ready to send you some "ono" shave ice!!

Flavors: rainbow, vanilla, haupia, melon, strawberry and

about 50 other flavors. I can put a scoop of ice cream

at the bottom and even azuki sweet beans on top if you want.

Oh, better yet, sweet condensed cream to top it all off!!!!

lol, you can just tell how Greg and I order shave ice in

Haleiwa and McCully.

hugs,

cindy

Hey Lei,

When I find the place that is a lovely 72 degrees most of the year, I'm on my way. Don't think much of heat myself since it tends to make me unconsious. lol Now cold just makes me ...cold.

Keeping my fingers crossed the weather is more to your liking soon.

Hugs,

Rain

Eldri you still here on planet earth? Did any tornados touch down in your area last night? Now those things have to be the scariest of all natural disasters....

I agree the humidity is terrible. I like dry heat but if ya throw in humidity then off I go to the hospital. For some reason it is hard for me to breathe when the humidity is up. It feels like some one is holding a pillow over my face.... I hate that feeling!

What are you up to these days Eldri my dear ole buddy?

Aloha,

Leilani

Malasadas are the #4 top donut as rated by the

Travel Channel.

And now, you can even get them with haupia or

custard or chocolate in the middle, lol.

But I like mine just plain. and I remember

when they were 10 cents for one. Now they are

65 cents for one, which is still pretty good.

Our Punahou School Carnival comes in second

best as they sell them for 25 cents each and

you should see the lines!

aloha,

hungry cindy

hungry for Leonards!! oh and Bobbie tried

them when she visited 6 mos ago.
