luck was turning around. Got a call from my "new" employer, seems the person who was leaving decided not to leave after all, so here I sit without a job! Go ahead, just TRY to get a mortgage without a job, ladies! Anyway, I'm back to beating the bushes, have another interview tomorrow, ironic thing is it's at a dentist's office RIGHT NEXT DOOR to the pharmacy. Wouldn't that be a hoot!!!
Nasty thing #2 - last night the power window on the passenger side of the van died. Dead as a doornail! So I was able to get it in to the dealer this afternoon and get it fixed, since it's supposed to storm late tonight or early tomorrow. Mike and I thought ahead and for the first time we bought an extended warranty, which expires in 140 more miles, thank heavens it broke NOW! Trouble is, I have a $100 deductible. Ouch! Ever notice how these things always happen when you're scrounging and scraping to get by??? Grrrrr!!
Dd got called in to work again so I have the evening to myself. Gotta fold laundry and get the spots out of the carpet, Open House is Sunday. Sisters, I need a HUG!!!!!
Sadly, Pam

I sure hope the next interview and job possibility will go well for you.
Car troubles are really such a pain and they ALWAYS come when you can least afford them. Both of our cars are so old and one of these days very soon it will be costing us more to maintain them than to replace. Dh is one of those who believes you drive a car until it dies on its own!! I'm ready to KILL mine!!! I'm sure trying to deal with all of the car repairs on your own is not much fun. So sorry you are having to do all this!
I'm sending big cyber hugs!!

Boy you sure did not need either of these things to happen right now, but so here they are and now I am just hoping that they are just minor bumps on the road. Hope that you do get that job next door to the pharmacy would that not be a hoot!
Hugs and many better days ahead for you! Lor
I know what you mean about warranties. At least your problem happened at 140 miles under, not OVER - LOL! I know for a FACT that as soon as I buy something I don't really need, something I REALLY need will go to hell. Like I bought a new microwave even though my old one still worked (but kind of slowly). The next day, our refrigerator gave up the ship and we had to have a new compressor - SEE??
Things will get better Pam! Just you wait and see.

So sorry, Pam. When it rains it pours it seems. Hopefully the job interview tomorrow will be successful and bring happy news and get you off that "roller coaster"
