Ok..this title refers to me and the weather! LOL
Last week it was 2 below here, yesterday in the 50's and today? Goin' to 60's! welcome to the wacky world of global warming!
and me? one month since we moved..part settled ,part not...still so much to do, more to unpack...
odd adjusting to a new place...yesterday someone said "Do you just love it?" ...hmm..there are parts I do..the garage, the fireplace...I think I take longer to adjust to new things than others...I think about everything so much
oh,well...after I live here 32 years I will form an attachment..LOL
I have been back to the old place, as recently as yesterday...and it is looking OLD...renovations continue to make it 2 apts..the upstairs apt is done and occupied...downstairs windows and doors were out...
Yesterday was a full day: post office, visit to health center for annual mammo, then to school to mentor my young protege for 3 hrs, then nail appt
today? turned down subbing..will get some things done...LATER....doing an easy start today..LOL
awaiting 2 babies: Jan 15 (his dil)and Feb 20 (my dil)
his ds is on his way back to USA right now from Iraq for a leave for baby's birth
trip to PA in our future
Jan 16 I start teaching another one of my "Spanish for Educators" courses..5 2hr sessions...5 Wed in a row..
another one in April
gotta pay for the new place..it has been SO expensive..furniture, curtains, on top of building costs, extra $$ to put the propane tank away from the house...every day, a new issue it seems
guess that 's the way it is
well I had better go be productive..
have a good day all!
hugs

Hi Dutch
Well the weather certainly has been back and forth for you there. Seems mother nature cannot make up her mind. We actually saw a good rain here yesterday and our high coutry got lots of snow. A win, win for us. The snow melt will help to restore some much needed water to our reservors.
You are like me my friend I think to much. Things will roll around in my head for days and I just cannot seem to turn them off until I feel I have thought it over completely. Not always a good thing.
Change is life and easier to accept sometime when we are not persoally involved in those changes. Moving is always a big expense. Try to remember once you get the curtains and furniture you need those money worries will settle down. Seems to always take us at least 6 months to get back to being more normal in our spending.
Two new grandbabies coming you way soon. How exciting for all.
Take care my friend and try to just enjoy your day productive or not.
Love
Dutch I bet things are a bit unsettled... takes a long time to get the house in order... got to find the right spot for everything, and so much to unpack and find that spot for it.
That would be odd to have the weather do such turn arounds... here we have had snow every week since mid Nov with lots of rain mixed in there as well.
Me I am so ready for late spring early summer!
It is nice that you can still do teaching

Mare, you are so right....we are alike in that we think too much..rolling ideas around our brains..hard to turn off the thoughts, hard to fall asleep at night...this week I was also feeling anxious...so last night I took Tylenol PM to help me sleep..
it did..but I realized something else..it also makes me feel calm and takes away the anxiety
yes, i hope after a bit the expenses will calm down...
we did buy more curtains today and a step ladder
thanks, dear

yes, Lor, the weather is whacky..but I did get a short walk in yesterday and today
It is fortunate that I can still do tutoring, teaching, mentoring....sort of do it at my own pace..
I have to tell you, I find myself wondering if I should go back full time, I just don't know if I can do it.
We got so much snow in Dec, I am sure everyone here has had enough..but around here..you never know!
and you hit the nail on the head about unpacking:finding the right place for every thing..big part of the challenge!

Dutch,
We have lived in this house for 30 years, so I can only imagine the adjustment to making a move.
Well, Gabby I seem to have this need to keep busy, do things etc
at least I can take off in between the days at school mentoring the new teacher
I could probably get rid of more...the thrift shop has benefitted from our move!
yep 2 more babies....will make 3 for me, 2 for him Grand total of 5
being a grandma can be sweet!

Wow..we are SO much on the same wavelength! It is uncanny..I have "simply Sleep" too...I took the Tylenol PM because I DID have some aches and pains (one being a huge bruise on my thigh from walking into the point of a TV stand...the initial collision left an indentation in my thigh!)
But I have the Simply Sleep if I need it
And,boy, am I guilty of these too: analyzing and overanalyzing and thinking and mulling
We have a joke here..he'll wake up and ask me what I am doing..I say "ruminating" he says "I told you not to do that in bed" LOL
I am already worrying about what to do if his dil gives birth on either the day of my class or the day of my dil's baby shower..becasue he will want to go to PA to see them
Wow..74! we hit 54..that is warm for here!

well...I wish we were closer too!
but I have plenty I should do here...I just wish it were not so much some days!
I will have boxes to unpack from now until the end of time, I think..LOL
what I hate? is figuring out where things go
I realized last nigh, as I unpacked a box of books
in the old house the bookcases were pretty well organized: Spanish books here, books on Ireland there, dictionaries I knew where to find, kids books another spot
nowI don't even know where the dictionary is!
oh well..one day.....
