Like I've got time to waste...

This week I had good intentions of getting a head start on my Calculus class which will start up again Monday nite. It's been sooooooo nice to have this last month "off"! I've actually gotten some quilting done, read 4 books, & done some reorganizing + lots of nothing! Then I found the Moms in School Board where a couple gals had blinkies for the grabbing. Then I went back to the Signatures for Beginners board & have been using the tutorials to finally try to work on a personalized "siggy" - for some reason decided it was time. The problem is you basically have to learn Adobe photoshop in order to make it all work, more time consuming than I'd like to admit. Guess what, I haven't done any math!! - but then I can't access the actual syllabus until Monday anyway so don't know the assignment specifics tho I imagine it will be pretty similar to Calculus I, just the last 1/2 of the book. At least this semester my 2nd class isn't math, & doesn't start til the end of Feb.

Been subbing 3-4 day wk at the HS since schools went back in session the 7th & have most of our taxes done. Now just waiting on the official W-2's and hoping we can come up w/a few more write-offs as so far it looks like we are going to owe again this year. Last year was a first - but then it was also a 1st w/my f/t income having been generated from working outside the home w/o the write-offs I had w/the daycare business.

My 18yo turned 18 on Jan.18th & my 21yo turned 21 on Jan.21st this year - how cool is that! 4 of 21S's friends from Phoenix flew into Boston last Saturday to celebrate w/him & several of his section at school there before classes started back up on Tuesday.

My g'kids will be here tomorrow as D32 & her DH hang out in Laughlin for the S.C.O.R.E. (off-road) races this weekend. I guess I'm gearing up to get my life back to it's normal pace. Been enjoying sitting in front of the fireplace the last couple months, but it will have to be the central heat this weekend w/little ones here. Hopefully the weather will allow us some outdoor time - it's been quite unpredictable the past few weeks. A really cold northern wind (down to mid-30's in the AMs), relatively nice a couple days (around the 60's) when the wind finally stopped, & woke up to remnants of some rain this morning. I do need to start moving around - I've managed to gain 5 pounds this winter so far...

Take care all, will check in again soon.

HI Jo

Good to see you. Girl you are always so busy. I bet that five pounds looks good on you as you are so thin.

Got a bit of rain here too yesterday. They say maybe more on Sunday.

You are taking a calculus class? Whew! Just thinking about calculus throws me into a panic attack! ha ha ha! I gave up on the siggy thing too ... ha ha ha! to much work!

The weather here in Southern California has been weird to which is a good thing. It has been raining off and on now for about a week but thank god we had no down pours! I think God or who ever is in charge has taken mercy on us and are giving us just enough rain to wet the burned areas and then let up before the water turns our soil into mud slides. Life is just amazing... this is just enough rain to make stuff grow in all the burn areas. Any more or less would not help us out one bit.

Okay well enjoy!

Aloha,
