I Killed my Bread Machine!

Well, I decided on Tuesday to make some semi-wheat pizza dough.  So, I got out my bread machine cookbook, found the recipe and put it together.  Then pushed the dough setting on the bread machine and everything was good to go!

ALL IS WELL...................

Then I decided to go upstairs and do some ironing.  Ironed 5 shirts for Bart, 2 for me.

ALL IS WELL.................

While doing all of this ironing, I hear a huge   c r a s h!

ALL IS NOT WELL.............

So, I race downstairs, running through every room to see what fell off the wall. NOTHING fell off of the wall..

The bread machine had jumped off of the countertop and was now laying on the floor, the dough was spilled out and now contained various pieces of plastic that had broken off of the bread machine.

Now that Zojirushi bread machine had been in use for 7 years.........so now I will have to replace it.

DD said she didn't think I had killed it...being that it had "JUMPED" off of the counter, she was sure it had committed suicide!  May it rest in PEACE/PIECES!

Hi Char

Well it could be it decided it had enough and decided to end it all. LOL How awful now you didn't get the homemade bread and lost you bread machine too.

Replacing it will not be cheap.

LOL, Char! The only thing that could've made it worse is if you'd gone back upstairs to find you'd left the iron on a shirt!! Wow, now we have to start worrying about the mental well-being of our appliances!?!??!

Sorry to hear that you must replace your bread machine.......and you never got your pizza dough........but I am laughing so hard at your post and imagining the leap it took from the counter to the floor.
