I see that Punxatawny Phil once more saw his shadow, telling us that 6 more weeks of Winter are coming.
Well...I just wanted to say that I feel sorry for the rodent. I mean, I don't blame him for not staying out, for just beating it back to his home.
Honestly, would YOU like to be drug out of your warm bed, and then, still half asleep be expected to PERFORM??? I think NOT.
I suggest that they bring the fellow out, let him wake up a bit, give him a good breakfast, let him play around for a while and THEN see what he thinks! I'm sure he would be in a much better mood and be more likey to stay outside instead of diving back into his abode.
So the way I look at it, it's not his fault at all. And in all acutallity, it will be an Early Spring...sounds good to me!
Char

Char you just might have the right idea about Phil there. Poor little guy they drag him out of his warm bed expect him to do his thing and then expect him to dive back into his hole.
Well hey you never know maybe spring will decide to come early. Seems winter has hung around way to long for many in the areas that get snow.
Love ya
My sentiments exactly! Poor Phil! Every year I go through my tirade about leaving the poor critter alone but they never listen.
Sorry to hear your kitchen is so full of suicidal/murderous appliances. Have you ever thought of letting the can opener speak to them so they can open up a little:)

Oh that Phil,
