that is the report in our paper from the Friday into Sat ice storm in our region
as for us: a driveway that was a sheet of ice...we chopped, spread kitty litter, ice melter, sand...
tonight: watching the Super Bowl, even tho I am not a football fan:
1. Giants: NY team
2. underdog
3. commercials! LOL
a dinner made of clam dip and crab dip!
oh, and I made banana bread!
was nice enough to go for a walk today, sunny and 36 degrees
watching the weather..more freezing rain predicted for Tues
good night from NY!
as ever,

Wow Dutch that is terrible...
Dutch, how awful! We have some friends
visiting from Maine and they don't miss the
cold weather.
Enjoy the evening :)
Hugs,
Cindy

Wish I could say it was better here, it isn't. May warmer weather peek in where you are soon. All the ice and snow is dangerous on wheels or foot.
Great time to enjoy that fireplace.

Hi Dutch
That ice storm was awful from what we saw on the news. Hey how about those Giants!! Not a big football fan here either my my guys are.
Hope you had a good night!!
Love ya
That was some storm.
Dear Mary
It is a wintery winter here...today..more frozen stuff falling from the sky...not enough to close schools but to cancel all after school activities
I am happy for the Giants and their fans...it was David beating Goliath
It fits my new quote
(see below)

HI Dutch
We had stuff falling from the sky off and on today as well but it was a bit of rain. However up in AZ high country(the mountains) they are getting a lot of that frozen stuff which is good news for our water reserves.
I like you new quote!!
Love ya
Just a heads up for you, Dutch. Since our storms usually end up hitting you, we have another one coming! We've had quite a winter, snowiest in 7 years. Last week, we had a huge storm on Thurs/Fri, that dumped a good 10" on us, then on Sun we had a "surprise" snow. They had predicted rain, but the temps were cold enough that we got another 4" or so. Now, another storm will arrive overnight and into Weds. Depending on where in northern IL, it'll be anywhere from a couple of inches, up to 14+. Maybe you'll be lucky, and it'll move further north before it gets to you. (I can hear Mare trying to hide her laughing)
I know there have been quite a few chain reaction accidents here, over the last couple of weeks.
