Sorry I haven't been on lately but I have pink eye from who knows where and I am iced in so no doctor for me until maybe Thursday.

I have had it since Sunday morning.  Anyone have a home remedy that I might be able to assemble with kitchen condiments? My eyes are hurting too much to be on line very much.

Wish me luck ladies.

Pink eye is NO fun, but try this until you can get to the doctor. It won't cure it, but it will make it more bearable until you can get some treatment.

Grams until you get to the dr's try placing warmed tea bags on your eyes. The tanin in the tea should help. As warm as you can possibly stand and do it often as in hourly depending on the severity of the infection.

Also, if you have garlic bulbs or powder or even onions they contain sulfonamides which fight infection. Garlic is best but if you only have onions eating them raw will produce the best results. It will help fight the infection. Hope this helps.

I remember using hot tea bags.I was waiting to see if some one was going to come up with that.

We used them on babies eyes when they get oozy.Done the same thing to kittens.

It just feels so good.

Oh one other thing related to your pink eye.Dont forget to sanitize the hard surfaces you've touched.Even door knobs. And wash your hands wash your hands.

Grams: Happy to hear you are feeling better. I had pink eye a few years ago on a trip to Michigan for a wedding. Didn't start bothering me until after the ceremony. Never made it to the reception. My SO drove almost straight thru to get me home. I got it in the other eye also. It is very contagious. I was so miserable. I can remember laying in the motel room with ice cold beer cans on my eyes before I knew how to treat it. We refer to that adventure as our "our redeye express"! Have a good Sunday and be careful!
