Do you Share?

Rain's post about not sharing about what is going on in her life made me think today about how much any of us actually share about what is going on in our lives.

Most of us, me included probably think my life is pretty boring and who wants to hear about what is going on with me?  Truthfully for me life is probably pretty boring or would be to most people. I am thank heavens healthy and being retired do pretty much what I want or don't want to do most of the time.  So other than the normal daily routine of cleaning my house not much to talk about here.

My Ds is doing well, he is  just about finished with his schooling and hoping to get a better job that would allow him to be able to live on his own again. I want him to be able to do that again and it is time for him to move out from the home of his parents and take his life back. As his mother of course I worry, and probably always will.

My Dd is doing well in her pregnancy now that morning sickness is behind her for now. She is wondering how she will handle two children instead of one. Told her like all the rest of us did with more than one child you just seem to do it. I was lucky and didn't have to work when my children were little. I do so admire women who work as well as have children at home. Not sure I could have handled that as well.

So there you have it that is what is going on in my life lately. I am tired of the cooler weather. Living in AZ we don't get snow and really cold but this winter has been cooler and we have gotten a lot of rain. Too many cloudy days. So for those of you where winter is still hanging around I hope that you will soon be seeing some warmer temps. We are suppose to get into the high 70's this week and maybe even the 80's.

So what's new with you and your well being???

ah, well, you know me...

I think I share..but it may not be always and it may not be everything!

I shared about dgs' arrival last week!

I just vented over someone's rudeness

Like some said, I don't want to bore with the mundane, nor complain too much (just a little..LOL)

sometimes my visits here are sporadic..like in the last 2 weeks we had 10 days of visitors..it was like a revolving door!...inc 4 days with dgds,3 and 18 mo

you really started a very prolific thread here! way to go!

hugs

Hi Mare, I'm reporting in, too. It's just the usual same old same old, here. Dh likes his new job. I'm kind of 50/50 on it. I like the more money part, but he's mostly doing remote installations, so lots less travel. He works from home, so is here most of the time.

It's winter, and we've been having a lot of snow and cold. Another storm is moving in tomorrow night. They're predicting another 3 inches or so. I've been treating myself, the last couple of weeks, to either fresh flowers or a pot of forced bulbs. Right now, it's 3 beautiful, purple hyacinths. They smell so nice, they really are a bit of spring in a dreary winter.

One of the dc's (dreaded cousins for those that are new - a long story) is going to be a grandma. This will be her first grand, a girl! I'm trying to knit a "5 female generations" blanket for the baby. Using the skills taught me by my grandma(1), and my mom's(2) needles, yarn the baby's mom(4) brought back from Ireland for another cousin(3), my(3) knitting, for the baby(5) - 5 generations. I hope it'll be passed down, eventually, a family heirloom.

My nephew is doing OK. He's a goofy 20-something young man who doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. He's working and going to school, but keeps changing his major. Oh, well.

I'm still trying to get organized, sorting papers and clearing out junk, but it multiplies like rabbits! I'm also still searching for old, dead relatives and working at the genealogy library on Friday afternoons. Healthwise, I'm doing OK, just overdue for my regular yearly tests. I know, I know, I don't need a lecture. I do manage to go for my monthly blood work, and am good about taking my blood thinners. I sure don't want to end up in the hospital again. One pulmonary embolism is more than enough! I'm still working on losing the weight I gained when I quit smoking, almost 2 yrs ago. Once I lose that, I'll start on the rest that was there already! LOL

I manage to get to the nooner chat most weekdays, but I rarely get a chance to post. Time just seems to be flying by, lately. I'll try to improve, but I'm not making any promises! LOL

For me, I haven't had time to post much because I am
so busy with my very, very big family and I love it
that way. Feel very fortunate that all six
of our children and the 12 grands live just minutes
away.
There is always something going on, also I've been
spending more time with my mom and other relatives,
especially my girl cousins that are my age.
Girl cousins and I went golfing a few days ago,
and even though we sucked that day, we still
had supersilly fun :)

Yesterday I could have spent the afternoon catching
up with posts, but the weather was perfect and
the beach was calling my name and we ended up
staying for a dinner picnic and the sunset...perfect!

This weekend will be taken up by the grandkids'
volleyball and baseball events and it's nice that
even the aunties and uncles will show up to cheer
for the kids. Sometimes there are so many of us
that it does not look different from a family gathering lol.
That is Hawaiian style :)

Same as before, I am helping out with Medicare
one day a week, just to stay in the loop with it as
before you know it, we will be old enough to be
recipients LOL!!

Hugs,

For Dutch who asked and Steph who posted such a nice response...my oldest ds is not in the Army but he is a warrior. His job takes him to Afghanistan 3 times a year for several months. One of those 'agencies' that we can't mention. There are many who fight terrorism

Hi Dutch

Thanks well it seems it did get a few poeple to post and that is the whole point. Seems we all forget that sometimes posting even the mundane will let our friends here know how we are doing and what is going on in out lives.

You sure did have a lot of company last week and the birth of your dgs along with all the snow that has fallen in your area have kept you more than busy.

Love ya

Hi Jan

I hear you on having your dh home all the time. At least yours is still working. Retirement has it perks but sometimes you wish there was someplace your dh could go for the day.

Congrats you your Dc DD. I bet that blanket will be beautiful Jan. What a sweet thing to do for her.

Getting some fresh flowers in the house would help I think making things not so wintery. It has been a cold snowy winter for you there. Sure hope spring will be coming about

HI Cindy

You do have a large family and cannot blame you for wanting to spend a lot of time with them. The weather in Hawaii is far to nice to be sitting inside at the computer.

However good to see you when you do pop in. Don't forget your cyber buddies here.

HUGS

HI Dutch

I agree mundane can be beautiful and the simple things can cause you to smile and enjoy if you just stop and enjoy the view.
