A day to just crash!
| Tue, 02-26-2008 - 12:07pm |
I can't believe it is almost noon and I am still in my nightgown! I have gone full speed ahead for weeks now and this morning I just basically crashed. I do not have a "scheduled" activity today......need to get groceries, do laundry and ironing and a variety of other things....but instead I have read the paper, drunk coffee, had an extended phone conversation with a good friend (also caretaking a mom) and played on the computer. Basically......crashing!
BUT....I best get busy and make the afternoon productive. Its rainy and temps are dropping, expecting snow "showers" tonight and tomorrow so not very inviting to get out and do errands. I suppose though, that they will not get done unless I get moving!
Have a good day!

Well, I think you need that and deserve a break!
dd and I are firm believers in "downtime"..we believe it recharges your batteries and helps your creativity!
between taking care of your mom, your job, your other responsibilities to family and church...where is there time for YOU??!!
not that you need it, but in case you do, you have our permission...and recommendation to get some R&R for yourself
I joled to Bob on Sun that I would not be able to think until Tuesday...after 4 days of having the dgds here, the new baby and visitors and guests everyday since Feb 15....I was out of steam!
I was going to sub today but the snow closed schools..giving me time for reading and writing!
did you see about the NY Philharmonic in N Korea? we saw them last summer at Bethel Woods ( =Woodstock)..they were awesome
I bet, knowing you, you went out and did something productive, didn't you??

Hi Sooze
Well a day to do nothing sounds just great and probably something you really needed to do. You are always so busy I bet it did feel good to take it easy even if it was just for the morning. With the weather getting worse
LOL!
I did get all my errands run this afternoon. It was really windy and blustery, but just spitting rain.
I knew it! I knew it!
you just could not sit still!
we let you recharge for one morning and look at what you did!
(what kind of cookies??)
I wrote 2 letters and made a photo book on Shutterfly
watched the snow fall
well, I am not even a music person like you and I thought they were awesome
plus the venue was super..outside on a summer evening
(summer??!! what's that?)
hugs

Now I really feel guilty! I am taking a crash day today due to two nights of little to no sleep. I have the ability to this almost any day, though, so it's not because
<
It is always nice to have a day to do nothing.
LOL!
Cappy,
It was great for a few hours.
Nothing like company coming to get us taking a critical look at everything!
