As most of you might remember Stupid is what the kids name our tadpole now frog. Can I help it if he couldn't find the food placed right next to him and he swam on his side? the kids name him not I.
Anyhoo, during the past week my cat has made it her mission to make Stupid her latest conquest. Now mind you all winter long the house had mice until we got those vibe things and they vacated. And what does a bored cat do..hunt frogs! One morning I got up and was busy preparing breakfast when I noticed Patches, the almighty hunter, concentrating on one corner of the floor. At first I thougt it might be a bug...wrongo, it was Stupid! Since he was near the unheated shed door he was so cold he was almost white! I picked him up, placed him back in his compound and placed him on the radiator to warm up. Once he jumped into the water I knew he was heated well so moved him back to his normal spot.
Friday night I spent down the daycare, since my computer's here, and got a phone call. The cat went after the frog again and this time it was bad. Janet said she picked him off the floor and was not sure he was alive until he started moving slowly so I thought all was ok but was not sure.
Saturday Mac and I ran our usual errands and the first thing I heard was...the frog's dead. Now I'm thinking how can I smooth this out for the kid's by Monday morning to lessen the blow...I got them goldfish.
The fish were happily swimming around their new home, Janet came down so I told her to go look at the kitchen table to see our new attractions. She said...oh good grief Goldfish on top of the frog. Frog? I thought he was dead...nope stunned but Janet forgot to tell Mac it was still alive. The kids love the fish! Now I have two compounds/aquariums to clean but I have to admit the kids love the fish better.
As if things weren't screwed up enough a parent remembered me saying I wanted an incubator for chicken eggs and ordered it. This was after I ordered more catterpillars, ladybug habitat and ant farm. I'm starting to feel like wild kingdom:) I love it:)

HI Bernie
Well seems you are going to have a bit of a wild kingdom there for sure. I bet the kids will love it all. However it seems you are going to be very busy cleaning up those habitats LOL
Love ya
I love it.
well, it sounds like wild kingdom!
poor frog! would a screen on the top of his aquarium save him from the cat?
I remember when our cat tipped the aquarium in dd's room and let her rat snake loose...never found him!
