Jacob got much worse this afternoon and her Dr suggested she take him to the emergency room of a childrens hospital. They admited him and give him some breathing treatments and also some medication. He is doing much better and the congestion seems to be better. Just talked to Dd it he is finally asleep and seems to be resting well. Dd will of course spend the night and hopefully in the morning they will know more about what is going on with him.

They think this is either asthma or allergies but he does seem to have a virus as well.

Keeping positive vibes for Jacob. Hoping if it is asthma it's the kind some males grow out of.

Prayers and well wishes,

Rain

P&PTs for all.

My dd was a severe asthmatic from birth. Her first three years were spend more in the hospital than out, literally. I'm glad that his doc recognized it for what it is down to two things. Some docs still don't in kids.

Anyway, it's something that is manageable once treatment begins for either asthma and/or allergies. I'm sure the virus doesn't help.

Hoping he's feeling better very soon!

Poor baby...hope he's continuing to improve every day, Mare. Try not to worry too much...he's in good care.

Hugs,
Red

Hi Rain

They let Jacob go home this morning he was doing much better. Dd said he has been happy to be home again and wheezing a little and coughing. She still has the appt on Thursday to see his Dr. The hospital feels it is probably an allergy caused by a slight case of asthma. I am sure they will do more testing on Thursday.

I hope it is something he will grow out of as well. We will see I guess.

Hi Char

Jacob got to go home today. He was doing much better. They say the steriods they gave him helped a lot. Dd said after getting home he was coughing more but she has the inhaler and that helps a lot. He will see his regular Dr on Thursday. They think this is an asthma induced allergy to something and hopefully is somthing they can treat and eventually he will out grow.

It is worrisome when you live so far away from your children and grandchildren and they are so sick and all you can do is sit at home and worry.

Love ya
