Jacob got much worse this afternoon and her Dr suggested she take him to the emergency room of a childrens hospital. They admited him and give him some breathing treatments and also some medication. He is doing much better and the congestion seems to be better. Just talked to Dd it he is finally asleep and seems to be resting well. Dd will of course spend the night and hopefully in the morning they will know more about what is going on with him.

They think this is either asthma or allergies but he does seem to have a virus as well.

HI Grams

He is doing much better today and she has the inhaler to help when the problem occurs. He did get to go home from the hospital today and will see his regular Dr on Thursday to find out more of what is going on for the little guy.

HI Doreen

He got to go home today and was feeling much better. DD will take him to his Dr on Thursday and see if they can find out just what is causing the problem. Seems to be allergies caused by a slight case of asthma.

Hi Steph

Thanks for the p& pts. He is doing much better. They said it is not really bad asthma and mostly allergies so hopefully after seeing his Dr on Thursday he will be doing much better.

HI Red

Worry is the best thing I do when one of my children or grandchildren are sick. He was in a good place though and they took very good care of him. He is back home today and doing pretty good. Dd says he was happiest to be back home in his own bed and to play with his toys.

HI Gabby

Those little ones get sick so fast it can be very scary sometimes. Hard for us to be so far away when something like this happens. Our Dd is a NP so she knows how to take care of him when he is sick but something like this is just hard on everyone.

He is much better today and once they get him on the right meds he should be fine again. Just an over night stay to keep an eye on him to make sure the meds were working.

Love ya

well..that is scary!

hope all will be ok soon

reminds me Abby was admitted to the hospital at 6mo..trouble breathing..they put her in a "mist tent"

pediatrician said her immune system was weak and she couldn't go back to babysitter/daycare and be exposed to other kids and their germs

as I result I started watching her 2 days/week for the next year

Hi Dutch

It was pretty scary but Jacob was a little trooper and other than being pretty tired and having trouble breathing he was a good little guy. They are still not sure what is going on with him. But he is home and doing
