Stupid the frog is no more.

The determined calico furball named Patches finally got him. The frog compound was well hidden behind a gallon jug of water, gallon can of olive oil plus had a heavy frying pan on top with a large ladle wedging the pan in place. How she got him is beyond me but she did. Stupid is no more. At least the fish will distract the kids plus they have Stupid's food to watch. They actually love watching the crickets more than the frog so I think I'll change his compound into cricketland:) Tomorrow I'll have to spin a tale of the frog turning into a handsome prince and vanishing...pray it works.

Knowing my kids this is how it will go. Allie, did you kiss the frog yesterday? No.

Well, he's not here. Uh oh, I bet a princess came in during the night, kissed him, which turned him into a handsome prince and he took off with her. All we have left are the crickets. I wonder if the crickets would be happier in the frog house instead of the jar. Should we put them in here so we can watch them better? Would that be a good idea? YES! Problem solved. I'll let you know if it works. Mac will immediately want to go and get the kids another frog. He has such a good heart:)

Daycare update: called the ins co to find out what was going on...no response.

Had the masons down today to discuss the rebuilding of the wall and was told they could not match the old permastone on the facade...fine I always hated it and requested a Colonial front. They said that would take a little more work because they had to fill in the gaps caused by the permastone but it can be done. they have to sponge the cement for the smoother finish. They did say doing it that way will give me a stronger front which will last forever.

Called the ins Co again and spoke to the case worker and she said they were waiting for the structural engineer's report to be given to the ins adjuster so she can submit her estimate.

After speaking to her I received a letter saying they were waiting for estimates from my contractor. Called the contractor and was assured I'd have the estimates tomorrow. Monday I'll fax the estimates then wait.

The masons told me today the entire center section of my wall between the two windows must be rebuilt as well because when they start removing the old stuff most of it will come away too. They also agreed with the city inspector regarding me opening my front door as everything above it will come down.

I placed a change of address with the Post Office only to find they are still delivering mail by opening the storm door, which was roped off with caution tape, not pushing it shut causes it to get caught in my awning when the wind blows loosening more of the bricks above the door! Now my awning is a mess which is the only thing holding up that part of my house. The mail carrier actually broke the tape to deliver mail...I have another mail box on my the outside wall eliminating the need to even open the door! I told Mac I must be paying for debts owed in my past life. He looked at me and asked...who were you Hitler!

Today was trashday and to my amazement all the caution tape was strewn around the street. Evidently the sanitation dept doesn't know what caution means either but the trash cans were empty. My front is now wide open to the public leaving me liable for anyone hurt by my now unsecured property. Mac's right, I must have been Hitler.

Sorry for this being such a depressing post but my life right now is depressed. My life's mottos are try to find the humor in things and everything happens for a reason. My sense of humor has taken a dramatic hit and the rest still needs unfolding. If this is what people mentioned about opening up and sharing what's going on in thier lives...well, you got it. Aren't ya sorry ya read the post:) Please keep me in your prayers.
