It's been eons since I came here-let alone post. I see a lot of my old friends here and I'm happy to see y'all. I just haven't had the energy or the time to visit. My recovery took a lot longer. It's wasn't complicated but I kind of tried to burn the candle at both ends and it laid me low. I was just tired ALL the time. Finally in late Dec. I started feeling better. I'm training again-for my first century on the bike-in celebration of my 50th birthday in April-2 miles for each year. Cycling season started for us last weekend with a 43 mile ride. We;re supposed to do a 50 miler Saun and a 70 miler next Sat. I'm still teaching at Gold's twice a week and subbing a ton. I even taught Step Thurs.-first time in 7 years.
Ds is going to college in Aug. in New Mexico-and will be gone for a year-it's a certification program for the learning disabled. We're all thrilled. DD is still trying to decide what to do.
So that's the long and short of it. What's up with you??

Hi Becky
Wow it has been a long time. I am sorry to hear it took you a bit longer to get to feeling better.
I know you love riding that bike.
Not much happening here in AZ we are just enjoying the spring weather lately. My Dd is pg with her second child. Hoping for a little girl this time. Her little boy is having some breathing problems they are thinking allergy or asthma and maybe both her is almost 15 months old now.
So good to see you and hey now don't burn that candle at both ends it only causes problems.
Love ya

Well, becky! Hi there! Good to see you here!
Glad to hear you are now on the road to recovery! Sometimes takes longer..(I just emailed a gal I know yesterday who is worn down from surgery and chemo)

Hello fellow Texan...I'm so glad you mending so well after a long haul of being down so long. I guess I missed it when you told us what was going on.
I am recovering from a minor surgery, having a stimulator implanted in my hip with wires going to my head for my daily headaches. It seems like we healed faster when we were younger for I am still so sore and the wires being just under the skin, my skin is still so sensitive. I still have a few "don't do's" but am getting there.
Wow, college for your ds, how wonderful and dd will decide what to do one of these days.
I don't know if you have been keeping up any about the meet in May outside of Milwaukee but it is happening. I'm so excited. Sure hope you can come. Where all do you ride to? The woman that does my nails is an avid rider and she is telling me all about where she goes. She goes on rides to Austin and to Corpus every year. She also teaches spin classes. Busy girl.
We still haven't braved the few miles between each other to meet, I still am hoping we can do that. Love and

Wow wonderful to see you Becky!
Hi, Becky. So nice to see you.
100 miles! You've got to be crazy. Is it pretty flat or does that include hills. Flat would be okay although I'd still want a very large seat with an inflatable cushion on it. It seems likd of unfair that the older you get, the farther you have to take that bike. More power to you though. I'll be looking forward to hearing how it all went for you.
