Rambling ons.......

I just don't know where the time is going, I seem to be waking up and blink it is time for bed already!

This week is Spring break for the kids at school so Britt and some of her Pathfinder friends went on a little get away to Victoria.  They are staying at the Empress Hotel ..... heck I have yet to stay there and this is her second time already!

We are doing some home renovations... what started out  with just lets paint the hall way walls turns out to be a lot more... and I mean a LOT more.  We have pulled the paneling off the walls and took out the window, re are going to gyproc the walls instead, and we put an energy efficient window in.  We are also planning to put carpet down.  We changed the doors  to the bedrooms, and while doing that we had to alter the size of the opening so we had to cut the opening bigger.  Well doing this to dds bedroom made us think about how we have all this new walls and her bedroom has painted paneling, so we are about to jump in and do her room as well.

Ok this is not the end of it we have 2 very large rooms in the living room that just need to be replaced, so we figure while we are taking them out and  againaltering the opening we may as well do those walls as well, and then  again new carpeting  to go in.  Now I so hate the linoleum in the kitchen ... it is so in need of going, so we will be doing one wall in the kitchen as well as the floors...thinking laminate wood floors for in there .. and that will run into the laundry room.  Oh and yet another couple of windows  to do, kitchen window (just 1 big one) and the  laundry room one ... oh and my bedroom one as we are in the groove of changing them.

Now we are thinking we may  have to change our bedroom walls as well but that is down the road a bit yet.   Oh  this all makes my head spin I have to say!  Dh does not just pick a simple task he goes big when he does it...LOL

Now you know I would be excited about this but at this point I am not!  It is very messy and when working on it the noise level is way up there. So does it make you tired just reading about it ... I know it makes me tired just thinking about it. oh well the hallway is almost done, and I survived that so I am sure the next room I will be able to handle as well!

On Saturday I was carrying some laundry in to be folded, and dh had placed a pry bar down ... I didn't see it and stepped on it, and it cut my bottom of my foot.  I bled for 3 days with that...probably needed stitches but it is about an hour away to the hospital so I didn't go, just bandaged up and then put steri strips on once the bleeding slowed down. I tell you that hurt like crazy.. today it is not as sore thank goodness for that!

On the neighbors, the district sent them a letter telling them that they had to turn of the water or if they didn't then they would permanently  shut it off for them and they would have to dig a well or something to get their water.  I am sure that went over well with them.  But do I feel bad, not at all... she flooded our garage out twice by pulling her hose over to the back of our garage and turning the water on full blast.  Then when asked if she can move it she said no.  So it is them trying to do stuff to tick us off all because she does not like the row of trees we put in on our property.  She doesn't like them so they have decided to be ignorant.  This was what I thought was a friend for about 18 years... and not that she was not aware we were going to put them in... her dh offered to pay halvers for them if we put them on the property line.  Oh well he has to live with her so I can see why he changed his mind, but heavens that is my property they are on.  So what does she do threaten to pour gas on the soil to kill them.  I said go ahead I took soil samples so if you do  it just means a court case.  Yup they are really a different sort!

My oldest dd went to the fertility clinic and the doctor has suggested she lose 20 lbs by May and then they will start her on some medications.  She has poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome, and they did a scope and said her ovaries are quite large and lumpy, not a good thing.  So she has started the South Beach Diet to get her weight down.  I said if she does it I will do it as well... and I am down 7 lbs, or was that yesterday  I can use the weight loss, but think I need to lose a lot more yet... somewhere about 40 lbs I would like but more would be better.  She is not handing the diet well, for me it is ok not a big deal so maybe I can do it.

Well think that is about it... now that I have put a years worth of info in here....well almost...LOL!

So yup I have been busy, and guess I will be for a while yet!

Hugs,

Well, Lor, time sure does fly when you're having fun, and it sure sounds like you are.... That neighbor lady sounds like a real piece of work, but you are handling her just right, I think. Jeez, what a bag!

I hope your tetanus shots are up to date, girl! Three days of bleeding? I'll say you probably needed stitches. Boy, keep that thing clean! We don't want to hear about you going in for infection treatment!

Good job on the weight loss! Frank and I are now on a diet together, too. No special one, just increasing veggies, lowering fat and serving sizes and proportions.

Take it easy, now. and watch for errant stuff set down by DH! Sheesh, he's lucky. That pry bar could've been a good weapon! JK

Hi Lor

Wow girl you are doing a lot of remodel there for sure. When we had our hardwood floors put down the house was such a mess so I know what you are dealing with.

Hope that foot continues to heal up. Probably should have gone to get stiches but I can understand why you didn't.

Your neighbors are idiots that is for sure. So did they shut off the water?

Sounds like your Dd is having a good time in Victoria how nice she could go and have fun with her group.

Time seems to just fly by for sure.

Sure hope your Dd will be able to get the weight off and get the results she wants to be able to have another baby.

Love ya

Lor my sympathies...I know how stressful remodeling can be. Once its all done you will be thrilled. As far as your next door neighbor goes I have one just like them. Miserable, which when you mention his name to anyone is the first thing they say...oh, he's misreable Herman made me cut down the apple tree JT started when he was 18 months old because leaves and apples were falling in his yard. He only complained when he could no longer reach the apples I so often saw him pick:)

After the car hit the house and I was crying my business was killed his first response was...its residential she has no business running a daycare here...the city and state said I could! Why are people so miserable?!

My mantra right now is...this too shall pass and its so with you. Good luck:)

Lor, your neighbors -- I guess they just want to
learn the very hard way. When all is said and done
they won't choose that route again.
