After what seemed like forever repairs have begun. The hole in the front wall is patched and since the ins. co. agreed, the entire front will be stuccoed. Since the hole is patched my contractor has now gutted the living room and I mean gutted! I am down to bare walls, floor and ceiling!
Allie's dad called to ask if I wanted any of her baby toys/equipment...sure. No sooner we started bringing in the stuff the phone rang...city daycare inspector wanting to pay an unexpected visit. You have got to be kidding! After hearing what happened she agreed to reschedule the visit for later this month, though not certain repairs will be completed by then and knowing if I say no could lose my license, agreed. Why do I always feel like I'm living on the edge?
When she visits she will want to see all my attendance sheets, lesson plans, which I have not done in a year! After teaching for so long I do lessons off the top of my head according to the kid's interests. The inspector wants to see it on paper. Guess what I'll be doing this weekend along with attendance sheets. Luckily the kids are hardly ever absent and when they are its due to vacations and not illness which is what they are looking for. Wish me luck with all. Prayers for all who need them and remember...though right now its hard to muster but I keep trying...keep smiling:)

Geez, Bern, it seems like this repair is taking forever to accomplish! Well, one of these days it will be finished, and all this will be a crappy memory!
Too bad about all the paperwork...sounds dreadful. But I bet you keep up on it from now on, eh?
Take care,
Red
