At this age..one day is not enough for a birthday..you need at least a week!! LOL
Monday we met friends for dinner..another couple..someone I taught with....he and I have bdays exactly one week apart!..he is one week older!
Tuesday I subbed..but both the kids and colleagues knew it was my birthday thanks to him and my friend Charlene..so I had well wishes all day...even kids saying Happy Birthday in Spanish..and my colleagues had a cake at lunch! nice day!
Wednesday we went to NYC to see Jersey Boys..it was very good but I had no idea of the troubles and heartache behind the scenes!
Thursday I picked up dgd,3, she helped me get ready for the "dino party"we got the cake, balloons, etc
Her parents and brother and sister came later...4pm..and my dd..and an old friend and her husband
meanwhile the weather was like summer! our new table arrived for the deck and Bob spent all day assembling it!
we had pizza, fruit, salad and cake and had it on the deck
we had a dino hunt and a fossil dig!
I also got a call from Germany from my friend and her husband
and roses arrived from an old friend from college
So it was all very nice, and I appreciated the birthday wishes here
and now I am tired! LOL...

Just remembered a DINO story...when my son Jeff was in first grade his teacher took the whole class on a walk to the city park in search of......A DINOSAUR EGG!
They were studying a section on dinosaurs and when they reached the park and finished searching..the found
that is a great story ,thanks for sharing!!
I hope the dgds remember!
