Do I have a life?

One would wonder... seems lately  all I have done is either go to town to get stuff for our renovations or if not doing that then spending the time helping dh  do the reno work.

We had to go yesterday to pick up the new built in dishwasher and to pick up our flooring, but when we got to the store for the dishwasher... it was closed.. we even told them we would be ther Monday and they said sure great.

Then when we went to get our flooring which they said was in stock, well they were wrong it wasnt in stock... so we have to wait to get that as well!  Oh well not like we do not have tons to do yet... and I mean tons of work! Still waiting for our new windows to arrive so  we want the flooring to be put in while we are waiting.

Suppose when all is done we will feel like we are bored with nothing to do.  That will be a nice feeling for a bit!

Anyhow guess that is about all that is new in my life, how about yours whats new with you all?

Hugs,

Not much new here, LOr. We had the reception for DD#1 and her now hubby and it went well. The space looked lovely. My sister helped me quite a bit with decorating the tables and she and I went to the farmer's market that a.m. and bought flowers for them.

DD's hubby's parents came; they are such nice fun people and I'm so happy they are people we look forward to seeing again. DD#2's in-laws are difficult people, so it really is a treat.

Other than that, not much new. We will be working a lot in the yard in the next month or so. I have a landscape plan I'm following. There's basically a clean slate to work with.

Next weekend the Naturescaping group I volunteer with is having their annual bare root tree and plant sale and I'll be working that.

Body-health-wise, I'm doing okay with one exception: My prosthesis has started clunking when I walk. It doesn't hurt at all; it's just annoying and I'm concerned that the joint has become loose. It probably means I'll need to do some special exercises, but I have an appointment with the ortho guy next week to see.

Better get back to work here....have a good week.

HI Lor

Remodeling is such a big job and with all you are doing with your house it get so frustrating when things don't go as planned.

Not much going on here. Dh took our sunscreens down over the weekend and washed them and the windows. They looks so much better. Now I am sure there is probably a big dust storm looming in our future LOL. I finally got a day where the winds were calm and could get the darn dust and sand cleaned up in the house.

Dang! That was an expensive non-productive trip! Lets see. I guess I feel productive cuz I found a way to go to the Midwest meet and meet my grands for lots less than what it looked like it was gonna be. I spent most of the day yesterday looking at maps of the mass that is O'Hare airport in Chicago trying to find where the buses

Sounda like this has become very frustrating with all the little problems that are rising.

Yep, I'm anxious to get out in the yard, too. But I'm sure you're having the same weather, or worse, than we are. Not exactly the most enjoyable. AND too cold for lots of things to germinate.

Frank and I have a plan after this weekend to get out and dig out some more flower beds, though. The house just has the plain, small, against-the-house 2-3 foot beds. I'm digging out the front entry garden about 7 feet and planting shrubs in the back then layering

That is so frustrating...to be all ready to go to work, then have roadblocks one after the other put in your way. It will be nice for you, though, when you can wake up in the morning to a house that is just the way you want it. I'm hoping to live long enough to have that same experience some day!

Right now I'm trying to get up the energy to put up some crown molding in the back bedrooms. It's such a pain to do that but looks so nice when it's done. I just need to get motivated.

I hope things start running smoothly again.

Yup, that's the nature of going through renovations,
but when it's over it is so worth it. Here, I am
just getting over a mild flu and congestion.
April is just going by too fast!

Yup sure does get frustrating, but the end is in sight... just maybe not as soon as we would like!

I bet with all the dust storms you get that there woudl be a whole lot of dust on the blinds and stuff.
