Earth Day!!

So today is Earth Day or was for some of you it is already evening and the day almost over. Here it is just 4:15 in the afternoon. Do you recycle and try to conserve energy in your home? We have replaced almost all our light bulbs now with the energy saving ones. We recycle, plastic, paper, cans, and glass.  I am using less paper towels and using more towels or rags to do my cleaning and have even started using a homemade glass and window cleaner as well as a cleaner for my hard wood floors.  Trying to do a bit more to save our earth and make it a better place for my grandchildren and all people on this planet.

I even reminded my Dd when I talked to her today to do her best to waste less stuff. Today is her 31st birthday so it was a good reason to give her a call. When did she get so old when her Mom has stayed so young??? LOL oh sure!!!

Hope everyone had a good day!!

I recycle a lot here. I also am big on conserving water (which helps because it is very expensive here). I use a lot of my bath water for laundry and often use the rinse water from one load to do the next load, especially for rugs and dog blankets.

I am trying to figure out a way to start doing more recycling at work. I got them to start recycling the cardboard boxes years ago but would like to have a convenient way for them to collect the myriad magazines and newspapers that come into this office.

For myself, I have vowed to start taking my own bags to the grocery store. It's just a matter of getting onto that habit.

Hi Kat

We try to conserve water here as well. It takes a long time to get hot water in my kitchen so I collect the water
