Spoke to Mare yesterday afternoon. Her voice sounded strong..feeling a bit better
surgery is today
pancreatitis resulted from an escaped gall stone that got stuck..now that issue seems to be mending..removing gall bladder should do the rest...surgery is laprascopic..unlike the huge surgery of the past...having had laprascopic surgery for a hysterectomy..I am hopeful that this will be successful and less invasive...faster healing...
Jan is collecting $ for flowers if anyone is interested
work and computer problems have kept me off here for a few days
by next week I told her, this will be history...a bad memory!
she appreciates all the concern, prayers, etc....
you "guys "are awesome!
hugs

Thanks for the update, Dutch! I was wondering about the pancreatitis-gall bladder connection.
I'm keeping Mare in my thoughts and prayers today. Hope we hear soon that she's feeling better.
you're welcome
Let's hope she will be on the fast track to recovery
what a thing to happen while on vacation, in strange place!
hugs

what my gastro did when stones were found in my pancreas.first the pancreas was flushed to remove the stones.he cut the pancreas and put in a stent for 10-dys.then he went back in an removed it.
I also had my gallbladder removed.
i havent gotten any stones.but have had lots of surgery to put in stents.to replace the ones that fell out.boy is that painful!any time some one has to mess with the pancreas puts you at risk for pancreintitis.
Thanks for the update Dutch. Prayers and positive vibes being sent Mare's way. Hope she's back to her old self very soon.
