Last saturday morning dh mentioned my weight, so I started changing my diet.  My diet has been about 90% vegetables and fruit since then.... LOTS of vegis because they don't really fill me for long.  You can guess what that has done to my body, I won't go into detail, but let's just say I am best friends with my bathroom right now.   I hope it's all worth it and that my body adjusts to my new eating habits and also that my weight goes down.  I know I'll be healthier...LOL. What dh actually said was, "Have you weighed yourself lately?"...can you imagine how upset and a bit angry I was?!!  He has been very nice since then....LOL.

HI Gabby

Well time will tell if all those veggies and fruit are working for you. The body will adjust to the difference. Don't forget to add a bit of protien to your diet as it will help keep you full longer.

Good luck my friend.

Hearing that from ones dh is not always such

Thanks Lori! So far, so good... I made a big pot of vegi soup and have been eating that the past 3 nights, along with salads and some chicken and fish.

gab is he off the sofa yet?? ;o)) im sure he is concerned for your health sake. rich found out he has diabetes and i have been trying my darndest to get him to not overeat..he has to lose weight too,and they told him to exercise..but its pretty hard for him to walk long distances with his hips being so bad..its hell to get old and as we get older its harder to change habits, but it can be done..with determination and in your case a toilet close by..those vegies are all fiber..mare is rite..dont forget the protein! i think bread is the hardest to give up,we have such wonderful italian bakers here, how does one live without bread.good luck on your diet..hugs min

I'm surprised you let him live after a crack like that one! Men can be so insensitive at times. Not long ago Mac and I were in the car and I said I needed to go to the shopping center but could not remember exactly which store I wanted. He said...Jenny Craig? He has no room to talk. He's not fat but at 72 looks like a man of 90! I hear you about veggies. They should come with a Roto Rooter sign atached:) Good luck and smack dh for me:)

Bern, you should have asked Mac if he needed to stop at the proctologist, to have his head de-inserted!!! It would serve him right. LOL

Gabby, dh and I are trying for a more healthful diet, too, so are adding a lot more fruits and veggies. We went a bit off, in WI, but got right back with it when we got home. Needless to say, I'm buying T.P. in the giant size package. I know our bodies will adjust soon, to all the added fiber. LOL
