Went To A Wedding Yesterday

My brother got married on Saturday and it was very nice.  We had prayed for good weather and it couldn't have been any better.  My brother was divorced and his new bride was a widow.  They were married in church in a very simple service and then everyone headed to their house for an outside party.  They had a tent in the yard and had the garage decorated.  Her brother is a caterer and had a pig roasting in the driveway along with all the trimmings.  db turned 59 yesterday as it was also his birthday and I haven't seen him so happy in decades.  The bride had a very happy first wedding and said that she can't believe that she could be so happy twice.  I pray that all goes well for a happy future for the two of them.

Yesterday afternoon I took a little nap and then in the evening went down to the lake by ds & family.  I don't have any plans for today, other than maybe a little more work on the yard and just sit back and relax.  These long weekends are so nice.

Best wishes to them both. Happy Birthday to your brother. Glad to hear it was a beautiful day. Went to a wedding reception yesterday also.

Been a while since I've gone to a pig roast. Can recall the tantalizing aroma that tempts the taste buds.

I think your brother and his wife will have
a good life ahead :)
Pig roasts...I miss that. When we were kids
we used to watch grandpa and our uncles do everything
from the moment they brought the pig home squirming
in the truck, to when we could peel the fully cooked
crackling skin off to eat.
Nowadays we tend to buy a fully-cooked half pig for
the large parties.

Hope you continue to have beautiful weather!

Hugs,

Cindy
