Tired of being Tired and bored!!

Ok so it has been almost three weeks since I had my surgery. I am feeling pretty good now but seems every afternoon I get very tired and have to rest for almost an hour. In fact I still have to take it pretty easy so I don't do much at all. I do a little dusting in the house and Dh and I do run errands some days but for the most part I am taking it very easy. So getting tired of being tired LOL and also find I am beginning to be bored. TV is a vast wasteland in the daytime and not much better at night. I am reading a lot and have been enjoying that but after a while my eyes get tired and have to take a break. Even playing on the computer seems boring somedays.  My body is letting me know it is still healing and I am going to have to be patient but my mind says lets get this done or lets go do that.

Ok I am done whinning now and will go be a good girl and rest a bit more!!

Oh, Mare, I know. It's frustrating, but continue to take it easy, or you'll only set your recovery back. Mine was different than yours, but I still don't have all my stamina back, and that was over 2 years ago. I keep working on it, though, and know I'll get there, slowly. Don't push yourself too hard.

Just have fun thinking, that in a few weeks
you'll be jumping up and down with activity LOL!
But for now, keep still so you don't have a
nasty relapse of sort.

Hugs,

Hi Jan

I am feeling so much better but I do have to realize that it was major surgery and the body needs time to heal. Sometimes a girl just has to whine a bit.

Just wish it would all hurry up so I can get back to doing the things I want to do.

HI Lor

I feel for my dh who is having to do most of the housework and it just seems like I should be able to do more of it myself. Oh well hopefully in a few more weeks I can begin to get my life back to normal.

Hi Rj

We have been watching some movies and they do help get the afternoons to pass. Just getting frustrated that the mind is ready but the body is still healing. I see my Dr in about two weeks so hoping then he will tell me I can get back to normal again.

HI Cindy

Yes I do tell myself. I have no intention of causing my body any more trouble that it has already been through.

Well jumping with activity I am not to sure of but being able to do the everyday things that need to be done will be a welcome change I am not one who likes to sit around for long.

Love ya

Part of it is that this is also the time of year when I think we all want to get out and do stuff. Now make yourself feel better knowing if this had happened a decade or so ago, you'd still be in hospital in Memphis! I can't say that I feel too poorly anymore and I still feel impatient lately like I want to get out and do more. That's partly why I was so dangburn ticked when I awoke yeterday to find that I'd been grounded for at least 24 hours. lol I have books to pick up at the library and plants to buy and plant and surely more interesting things to do than be grounded. OK, let me get this straight....you can't wait to feel better so you can get back to....HOUSEWORK????? Girl, you're sicker than I thought, LOL!

You're retired, you SHOULD be resting! Didn't my injury teach you anything? Housework, specifically vacuuming, is bad for your health and well-being!

JK, you know I want you to be able to do what you want; just don't push it, eh? Wouldn't be worth it, possibly.

Take care and enjoy some old movies.Hugs!
