Some kinda neat good news

We've been going around and around with our neighbors lately about their setting us up to spend money w/o giving us any details on what our money is being spent on so I've been a tad testy. Anyway most of that was sort of finished yesterday when we got tarred into our house for 24 hours with no notice before hand to move our cars. And we'll live through it and make sure we write up a binding letter so that this doesn't happen again.

So it was really neat to see some good news. Our niece is going to have a triptych on view at a local San Diego museum's showing of living artists. If Bear weren't so dang senile we'd go out to support her. It was funny this morning when I was attempting to explain what a triptych was to my dh. He was thinking of the trip ticks that AAA make for you and was really not getting how I was telling him that early ones were usually connected like 50's style vanity mirrors and were usually of the holy family. Below is a site that shows it. It is a self portrait of my niece, her darling little boy and her dh. One of these days I'm giving her a photo of us to paint a Colorado Gothic for us. Hugs, BB

Her art is rather Van Gogh-like, isn't it? I like it! Is that you in # 22? or maybe it's #23...with another woman?

Nope they were family or friends of hers. She painted a great one of her dad with an old hat and truck but it isn't in her collection since his wife bought it several years ago. That painting looks so much more like him than he does now that his hair has grayed. Funny how he really doesn't look the same after his very distinctive eyebrows went white. I am just so happy that even though she loves being a mom, she is still painting. Hugs, BB

BB,

Loved your niece's triptych! Great expressions on each of them. My daughter did one in high school.

Nice neighbors. geez! They'd drive over the edge!

I have a senile dog too...Elvis is in his own little world but still healthy and happy.

Hugs,
Kathie
